‘’Is she alright?’’

‘’She seems quite unstable.’’

‘’Her face looks a bit flushed.’’

‘’Doesn’t she seem....’’

‘’Who knows. Let’s look away as if we saw nothing.’’

Ignoring the whispers and careful glances around me, I slowly trudge down the road from the pack hospital....more like drag my body to move as I just wanted collapse on the spot. I had even stumbled a few times on the way, scaring away a few pack members.

The warriors from the elder council did ask if I was fine, but I only shook my head at them as I didn’t any to know that I was in heat.

‘It’s been so long since my body felt this way.’ I force my eyes open, taking a deep breath to stop myself from groaning out in pain. The heat wasn’t this hurtful when I was going to the pack hospital. Now that I have become aware of its existence, the pain and every of its symptoms seemed to have decided to multiply by tenfold.
