The tech guy—a skinny kid named Mouse—worked fast.

He copied the flash drive, altered files, replaced names and dates with useless information. The fake looked perfect.

"Cross will not know until he opens it," Mouse said. "And by then, you will be long gone."

"Good work." Colt handed him cash. "Now disappear. If this goes bad, I do not want you caught up in it."

Mouse left.

Colt turned to me, holding up the fake flash drive. "You give him this. The second you do, our guys move in. We will have snipers positioned. Vehicles ready. You will not be alone for more than thirty seconds."

"What about Tommy?"

"Hammer is tracking Cross's location through cell signals. The second we confirm Tommy's position, we extract him. Simultaneous rescue." Colt's eyes were hard. "Cross wants to play games? We will show him what happens when you mess with my family."

At eleven thirty, we left for the coordinates Cross provided.

An abandoned factory. Of course.

Colt and ten of his men spread out, taking posi

  • THE BIKER'S EX RETURNS    CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX: THE CALM BEFORE WAR

Crystal's attack came sooner than expected. Not with armies and guns. But with something far more insidious.Doubt.Three days after her escape, packages started arriving at the compound. One for each officer. Each containing the same thing.Photos. Documents. Evidence.I opened mine to find pictures of Colt. With other women. In compromising positions. Dated after I came back to Redemption Creek. My stomach twisted."It is fake," Razor said immediately, looking at his own package. "Crystal is manipulating photos. Trying to make you doubt him.""The dates are right though." I stared at one photo. Colt with a blonde woman. Outside a motel. Two weeks after I returned. "What if it is real?""Then he made mistakes. He was human." Razor snatched the photos from my hand. "Do not let her get in your head. That is what she wants."But the damage was done.I spent the next twenty-four hours questioning everything. Every memory. Every promise. Every moment I thought Colt loved me.What if I was

  • THE BIKER'S EX RETURNS    CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE: THE RECKONING

The next forty-eight hours were the longest of my life.I could not let on that I knew. Could not tip off Crystal or Tommy. Had to act normal while planning their destruction.Victor provided additional security. Men loyal to him, posing as new prospects. They would be ready when Crystal made her move.I called a mandatory club meeting. Everyone had to attend. No exceptions.Crystal arrived early, smiling, playing the part of loyal member.Tommy was nervous. Fidgeting. Avoiding eye contact.Good. Let him be scared. The meeting started normally. Business updates. Territory reports. Standard procedure. Then Crystal stood."I have something to say. About our president."Every eye turned toward her."Jenna Carter has been leading this club for three months. And in that time, we have lost territory. Lost respect. Lost our identity." Crystal's voice was passionate. Convincing. "She is not a biker. She is an outsider playing dress-up. And it is time we admitted that."Murmurs of agreement fr

  • THE BIKER'S EX RETURNS    CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR: MAE'S SECRET

I could not confront Mae directly. Not yet.If she was the traitor, tipping her off would be suicide. If she was innocent, accusing her would destroy our relationship. So I watched. And waited. For three days, I observed everything Mae did. Who she talked to. Where she went. What she said when she thought no one was listening.Nothing suspicious. Just a woman running a clubhouse. Cooking meals. Caring for members. But something nagged at me. A feeling I could not shake. On the fourth day, I followed her.She left the compound at midnight, driving toward the old industrial district. I kept my distance, lights off, tracking her movements. She parked outside an abandoned office building. And Victor Kane walked out to meet her.My entire world shattered.I watched from the shadows as they talked. Too far away to hear words. But their body language was clear. This was not a hostile meeting. This was familiar. Easy. They knew each other.Mae handed Victor an envelope. He opened it, nodded,

  • THE BIKER'S EX RETURNS    CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE: TRUST NO ONE

I did not go back to the compound immediately.Instead, I rode to Colt's grave. The cemetery was empty. Dark. Just me and the ghost I could not stop mourning."I do not know what to do," I whispered to his headstone. "Everyone is lying. Everyone has secrets. How did you handle it? How did you know who to trust?"The wind picked up, rustling leaves. No answers. Just silence.I pulled out the files Victor gave me. Read through them carefully.Bank transfers from Razor to William Cross. Dates that matched key events. Phone records showing calls between them.It looked damning. But it could be fabricated.Victor Kane was a master manipulator. This could all be a setup to turn me against my own people. But what if it was real?My phone buzzed. Mae."Where are you? Everyone is worried.""Cemetery. I needed to think.""Come home. We need to talk. Now."Something in her tone made my blood run cold. "What happened?""Just come home."I rode back, adrenaline pumping. The compound was on high al

  • THE BIKER'S EX RETURNS    CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO: SINS OF THE FATHERS

I spent the next day preparing.Weapons. Backup plans. Exit strategies. But I told no one. Because if Victor Kane really did have guards watching, I could not risk tipping him off.At eleven thirty, I rode alone toward the old mining facility. The place was abandoned. Crumbling. Perfect for an ambush.I parked my bike a quarter mile away and walked in, gun drawn.Victor Kane stood in the center of the main building, illuminated by a single camping lantern. He was older than I expected. Sixty, maybe. Gray hair. Lined face. But his eyes were sharp. Alert."Jenna Carter. Finally." His voice was smooth. Cultured. "I have waited a long time for this conversation.""Start talking. You have five minutes before my people arrive.""Liar. You came alone. Just like I knew you would." He gestured to a chair. "Sit. This will take longer than five minutes.""I will stand.""Suit yourself." Victor pulled out a cigarette, lighting it slowly. "Let me start with your mother. Elizabeth Carter. Beautiful

  • THE BIKER'S EX RETURNS    CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE: THE GHOST RETURNS

Three months into my presidency, I learned that running an MC was like fighting a war on a hundred fronts.Territory disputes. Supply chain issues. Internal politics. Every day brought a new crisis. But I handled it. I had to.Because giving up meant Colt died for nothing.I sat in church—the weekly meeting where officers discussed club business—surrounded by men twice my age who still looked at me like I was playing dress-up."The Iron Brotherhood is pushing into our territory again," Hammer said. "Third time this month. We need to respond.""We will. Diplomatically first." I looked at the map spread across the table. "I will call their president. Remind him of our alliance.""And if diplomacy fails?" Razor asked."Then we remind them why crossing us is a bad idea." I met his eyes. "But violence is the last option. Not the first. Understood?"Murmurs of agreement. Some reluctant. But agreement nonetheless."Next item," I said. "The shipment from Nevada. Status?""Delayed. Border patr
