Juliet's car speeds on the highway as she drives heading straight for the hospital Lucien is being admitted in. She blinks her eyes hard, trying to stop the tears which are threatening to fall. Her whole sight is blurry due to the tears forming in her eyes. She keeps driving nonstop, heading to one of the local hospitals in the city, 'City Hospital.' Only a few minutes have passed, but she feels like it is taking forever to reach her destination. After driving for some more minutes, she finally spots the gate of the large hospital a few meters away from her. 'City Hospital' is the name written on the signboard and Juliet's car speeds through the gate without even stopping. Hundreds of reporters all stand in front of City Hospital shouting and yelling out tons of questions as they struggle to pass through. The hospital's security tries their best to hold back the hungry reporters. One of the paparazzi suddenly turns around as he sees a red Ferrari driving very fast towards the
Juliet sits there, staring at Lucien who still hasn't regained consciousness. She can't explain how she feels after seeing him in this condition. Tears slowly start dropping from her eyes as she cries silently. No words left her mouth as she sits there, just looking at Lucien. He has an oxygen mask on as he lay there, unmoving. His once handsome face is now covered in so many cuts and bruises. She takes his hand and starts to caress it. "Wake up please" are the stupid words that have to come out of her mouth first. She sits there in silence after the word not knowing what else to say. "I'm sorry for all I said and did, please wake up Lucien," she says softly. "I never meant any of it. I don't want you to leave me again" she mumbles the last part lowly. "Do you have any idea what I had to go through after you left? I lost all my purpose of living after I lost you, Lucien. You were my life and I felt like I had died." "I tried killing myself many times. I had always wondered h
"What!" Her voice cuts across the room as she stands up from her seat. "How is that possible?" She asks looking at the doctor before her. Juliet is currently sitting at the doctor's office. Out of worry, she had gone to inquire about Lucien who still hasn't regained consciousness. The doctor had said to just wait and see what happens as no one knows when he would wake up. "Yes miss Pearson, he's sustained severe injuries already. I must say it's a miracle seeing someone had actually survived after falling from such a height even for we the doctors" The doctor on duty says looking up at her. "Even though Mr. Wood had managed to survive, he had still sustained multiple internal injuries." "I'm sorry but his legs have been badly affected due to the impact of the fall and now because of that I don't think he could afford to even stand on his feet ever again, talk more of walking. We could also be wrong though so we just have to wait for Mr. Wood to regain consciousness." He drops th
Juliet exits Lucien's ward after she sees he is still unconscious. She had already made some plans with the doctor about what to do when he eventually regains consciousness. She decides to go home and freshen up a little before returning later. Her eyes are all red from crying and her silky strawberry blonde hair is a mess. She sighs as she wonders how she'll be able to leave like that with the horde of reporters in the hospital's front. They'll just make a huge fuss about everything. She looks around in surprise when she walks out of the hospital and sees everywhere empty. There is no sign of even a single reporter. She thanks her stars, hurries into her car, and zooms off. After almost an hour of driving, she arrives at the Pearsons mansion. She packs her car and steps out, walking into her home. Her whole body feels very sore. She hadn't had even an ounce of sleep after what had happened. She looks around the mansion, she couldn't see even a single paparazzi lurking arou
The two sisters don't say a single word to each other as they head upstairs. Brianna too is angry with her sister for what had happened but she dares not open her mouth to talk seeing that Juliet is already red with anger. She can tell Juliet is not in a good mood right now and she doesn't want to get on her sister's bad book. Brianna keeps her thoughts to herself and silently follows Juliet as they walk through the large hallway. After passing numerous rooms, they finally arrive at Juliets. Juliet steps in first. Brianna is about to put her foot in the room when Juliet's cold voice reaches her ears. "I want to be alone" Juliet mumbles dismissing her younger sister. "But Juli..." "Get Out!" She cuts her off harshly. Brianna opens her mouth to say something again but thinks otherwise. She glares at her sister, stamps her foot, turns and starts for her room leaving Juliet behind. Juliet bangs the door and walks into the room breathing heavily. She grudgingly sits on her bed
Mrs. Avery majestically walks towards her daughter, her heels making a soft clinking sound against the marble-tiled floor. "I gave them the orders not to let you out no matter what happens" she sneers and stops right in front of Juliet. "I won't let you go see that filthy brat Juliet. He does not deserve you, can't you see!" She stamps her foot roughly almost injuring herself. "I refuse to allow you to disgrace this family any further." "I won't let the Pearson family's name be dragged through the mud because of that useless nobody called Lucien Wood!" Her determined voice booms for all to hear. The guards all shift uncomfortably as they try to look for a way to run away. No one wants to be in the middle of the fuel moment between mum and daughter. "Mum, you have no right to stop me from leaving my own house!" Juliet states coldly. Mrs. Avery's eyes narrow dangerously and she steps forward. The next thing Mrs. Avery does is something no one had ever expected. A slap lands on Ju
"Listen very carefully to what I'm about to say" Mr. Santiago is seen standing on his balcony, his phone tightly placed on his ear. His other hand grips the railings tightly as he speaks to someone over the phone. "I want this job done by tonight..." "I don't want any mistakes..." "I'll pay you triple the amount you asked for... " "Just make sure you finish off that wretched fool once and for all this time..." Mr. Santiago hums in satisfaction over what the other person replies. Mrs. Avery comes inside the room at this moment holding two cups of steaming hot coffee. She walks over to the balcony and sees her husband making a call there. "Coffee?" She half whispers as she reaches him. Mr. Santiago quickly nods and she hands over a cup to him. "Yes, I'll be waiting for the news," he says and ends the call. "What news darling?" Mrs. Avery asks and her brows pinch together. "The news of Lucien Wood's death" he replies and takes a sip of his coffee. "I've hired someone to finis
Juliet doesn't even know for how long she's been sitting alone, in the same position and the same place. Maybe it has been a minute? Two minutes? An hour? Two hours? Or perhaps several hours have even passed by? She just doesn't know. She can't really tell because her eyes have swollen up from all the crying crying and crying. Ever since the men locked her up and she crumbled down on the floor, she has not even made a move to get up. Juliet can hear her phone ringing again. The stupid phone has been ringing non-stop for as long as she can remember now. Yet she didn't even make an attempt to take a look at it. Juliet feels like her whole world has come crashing down in just these past few days. The wall she had suffered to build-up for years has come crashing down without any mercy. It was utterly useless now. Slowly, she curls up on the cold floor. Her heart feels cold and numb just like the floor. More tears slowly start making their way to her eyes as they drop down her c
