Chapter 51: ||Natalia's POV||

As soon as we got to the hotel, I excused myself to go to the bathroom and dialed my father's line.

He picked almost instantly; "The latest bride in the city! How are you—"

"Why did you send honeymoon tickets to Hawaii?!" I cut in, not even caring that my voice was growing higher.

"Oh, honey," He paused, obviously shocked at my tone. "Would you have preferred France?"

"No, dad. No!" I cried out, "I would have preferred nothing!"

My heart was burning with anger and a thousand other things I couldn't describe as I clutched the phone. "Why? Why didn't you even tell me about it?"

"Excuse me a moment," He said and I couldn't even tell if he was speaking to me or someone else as the background noise became clearer.

A cackling of frequency followed and then when his voice came back on, I could tell the change in location. "No, Natalia, my dear. What is wrong with me sending you honeymoon tickets?"
