Chapter 52: ||Natalia's POV||

That night, it was pure torture.

I couldn't sleep. I kept my body so stiff, I prayed the morning came sooner and when it did, I was the first to jump out of bed.

I locked myself in the bathroom for so long, it was only when I heard the bed creak that I slipped on fresh clothes and stepped out.

"Good morning!" I chirped pretending to be fine.

Wesley's brows furrowed at the sound of my voice but he also smiled. "Good morning, beautiful..." He replied before going into the bathroom.

Once the door closed behind him, I fanned myself with encouragement. I didn't pass out nor stare at him for too long.

"That was a good thing, right?" I mumbled to myself.

And then an idea suddenly clicked. If pretending to be fine was going to make this whole awkward situation easier, then I could as well go on with the flow.

"Yes!" I exclaimed. The plan was perfect.

When Wesley stepped out, I wasn't trying to avoid him. I was waiting for him.
