Ximena’s POV

I was shattered beyond repair. I don’t know if I was still feeling or just numb. I shuffled along the street, heading to Aunt Sadie’s place. Did she know? Was she behind this? Why didn’t she stop Mila from sneaking herself into my husband’s life? Why am I destined to lose everyone I ever cherished?

“Hey, watch where you are going!” a cabby yelled as I was crossing the road without looking sideways.

I ignored him and shuffled across the road, igniting indignant yelling from the drivers and causing chaos on the road.
