HIS ARRIVAL

She squinted at him at once, her eyes demanding an explanation.

"What happened? How did the meeting go?"

He exhaled heavily and sat up on his seat.

"Well, Gary kicked against the idea I pitched to him. He seems convinced that my ideas are not good enough for SkyNet."

"I was afraid that that was going to happen," Emily piped in," She sighed, "Gary is a difficult man to understand."

"Let's get out of here," Edmund mumbled. He was already rising to his feet. His towering frame stood over Emily, urging her to join him.

She joined him a moment later and together, they walked out of the premises and jumped into Edmund's Porsche that was parked outside in the driveway.

Edmund started the engine and the car skimmed into the city, gunning past tall buildings and shady trees that lined the road.

They did not talk for the rest of the drive. Edmund stopped before the building that housed Sheraton Group of companies and killed the engine of the car. He snapped his head towards Emily at once
