CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVEN.Adele came back home when Jamal had already finished cooking dinner and they ate together even though there was a lot of tension in the air. She went straight to bed after dinner, while Jamal spent almost the night working.Morning came and it was time for both of them to take their baths and dress up for work. Adele took her bath first and dressed up while Jamal waited in the living room. When she was done she walked out and signaled him to go in and get ready as well. Jamal, who didn't see the point in all what they were doing could only shake his head and obey her, because he did not want to annoy her or anything. CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE.After the conversation Adele had with Aliya, her mood worsened for the rest of the day. She argued about three more times with Grace and snapped at several of her coworkers. They finally understood that she was going through an emotional distress and decided not to bother her.After work, she had expected Jamal to text her and tell her to come meet him in his private parking lot so they could drive home together, but he did not, so she had to drive home on her own.On her way, she stopped by the grocery store to get some ingredients for the meal she had in mind to cook for dinner.
