The House of Glass

The night sky hung heavy over Silver Point Medical Center, thick with mist and quiet dread. Derrick sat alone in his office, the glow of the computer screen washing his face pale. His fingers hovered over the document that had changed everything.

“PRIMARY GUARDIAN: L. SALVADOR.”

The name burned into his mind like a curse.

He leaned back, exhaling shakily. Lucas Salvador wasn’t just Natasha’s husband. He was the keeper of her very existence.

Derrick’s throat tightened. Everything, the strange gaps in Natasha’s medical records, Lucas’s obsessive control, even Clifford Raymond’s financial collapse, now connected to one monstrous truth. Project Mirror hadn’t ended. It had evolved.

He copied the last of the decrypted files onto a flash drive, labeling it with trembling hands, “Amelia Protocol.”

If something happened to him, Natasha had to know the whole truth, even if it broke her.

The Physician’s SecretThe morning sun broke through the curtains in golden threads, bathing Natasha’s face in soft light. But peace was something she couldn’t recognize anymore. Every breath felt heavier. Every sound, suspicious. She hadn’t slept much, as Lucas’s words from the night before kept echoing in her head.“Someone who’s trying not to destroy the only thing that makes him feel alive again.”What did he mean by that? Was she really just another pawn, or had she become something else to him, something he didn’t know how to destroy? Her phone vibrated again. It was Derrick. She stared at the name for a long moment before answering.“Derrick?” she said softly.“Natasha, where are you?” His voice was urgent. “You need to come to the hospital. There’s something about your records and about that woman named Amelia Raymond. I can’t say it over the phone. It’s too risky.”Her pulse quickened.“Does this have to do with Lu

Whispers in the MansionThe Salvador mansion was too quiet for comfort.Silence had a way of speaking in Lucas’s house, a kind of language Natasha had come to recognize. Each creak in the marble floors, each sigh of wind through the velvet curtains, seemed to carry secrets from generations buried under gold and guilt. She walked slowly through the east corridor, her slippers whispering against the cold floor. A single lamp glowed at the end of the hallway, casting a faint amber halo over a portrait she had somehow never noticed before.A woman stared back at her from the painting, her eyes hauntingly familiar. The resemblance was unsettling, the same curve of jawline, the same soft brown eyes. But the name etched at the bottom in faded ink made her heart stall.Amelia Raymond. Her mother’s name had been Cassandra Raymond. Amelia was a name she’d only recently seen… on a birth certificate she wasn’t meant to find.Natash

The Storm Beneath The SurfaceThe morning light spilled through the sheer curtains of Natasha’s room, but it brought no warmth, no comfort. She hadn't slept a wink. The anonymous text, the files, the conversation with Nana, all of it churned inside her like a hurricane.Today, she would get answers.Today, she would confront Lucas Salvador.Dressed in simple jeans and a sweater, Natasha stormed downstairs, the heels of her boots clicking sharply on the marble floor.Lucas was seated at the breakfast table, sipping coffee like he hadn't orchestrated half the hell she was now drowning in."Natalie," he said casually, glancing up with that disarming smile he wore so well."Don’t," she snapped. The cup paused mid air.A tense silence filled the room."You lied to me," Natasha said, her voice shaking. "You’re still lying."Lucas set the cup down carefully."What are you talking about?" he asked, too calmly. She pulled out the document she

The Weigh of Secrets The moonlight splashed across Natasha’s bedroom as she sat cross legged on the floor, her laptop open, papers strewn around her like fallen leaves. She hadn't been able to sleep. Not after the confrontation with Lucas. Not after the way he looked at her, like she was his salvation and his damnation all at once. The air still seemed to hum with the echo of his whispered warning."You have no idea how deep this goes."Natasha’s fingers hovered over her keyboard. She had dug through dozens of online databases, old newspaper articles, court records.Yet Amelia Jr. Raymond remained a ghost . No social media, no photos, no obvious paper trail.Only a single hospital record from a few years ago, marked confidential.A pregnancy. But no record of the child. She exhaled sharply, frustration bubbling under her skin.Someone had gone to great lengths to bury Amelia Jr.’s existence. But why?And what was her father’s role

The Thin Line Between Love and ObsessionLucas paced the grand marble hallway of the Salvador estate, his mind a battlefield of conflicting emotions.Something had changed. He felt it deep in his gut the moment Natasha left for the hospital earlier that day.The security feed had shown her getting into the black SUV without protest, her shoulders tense, her face pale. Now she was returning late.Far later than the usual quick visit to see her father would have allowed.Lucas tapped his phone against his palm, debating whether to call her, track her, or drag her back if necessary.No.He exhaled, jaw flexing. He had to be patient. Control was everything, but patience was cracking at the seams inside him.She wasn't just another pawn anymore. She was his.And whoever or whatever was trying to pry her from him would feel the full weight of that truth. He didn't notice Nana step quietly into the hall until she cleared her throat."You're going to d
