The forensic van was silent.

No one moved.

No one spoke.

On the monitor, the recovered image of Victor Hale remained frozen in place. His face was pale, his eyes wide with unmistakable terror, as though he had been staring directly at something he knew he could not escape.

Damian stood with his arms folded, his jaw tight.

Nathan took a slow step closer to the screen.
