Tom knew it was a set-up. Immediately, he saw Joseph cut in when Dave was talking, although he was not sure if Dave was part of the plan, but one thing was sure, Joseph had a hand in this mess he had found himself. The crazy aspect was that there is no way to prove it was ruined by someone and provide evidence. He was going crazy at every tick of the clock. “I think you should calm down, Mr. Dave Lin and let’s cool down to solve this”, he pleaded, but Dave would not have it. Tom was still trying hard to persuade Dave Lin about the clothes when one of the staff ran in to inform him of what was going on with Amber on the TV. “Put the TV on”, he commanded with worries laced in his eyes. He had warned everyone never to tell her, but she ended up finding out on TV, a live broadcast at that. Everyone in the conference room turned to watch her speech with them and saw how the interviewer asked her about the ripped clothes incident. FEW DAYS EARLIER Immediately, the employee, Joseph’s secretary, came to threaten to leave his presence. She thought about the offer, and it was honestly tempting, but thinking about how Amber pleaded with her before leaving to make sure everything went well, gave her some money and had always been a good colleague to her, she decided to forfeit the money she was promised and called Amber to inform her of what was going. “I can’t believe he’s going this far to ruin his hard work”, Amber, who couldn’t believe what she had just heard, remarked in shock. Lawrence asked Amber out on a tour date with her the next day, and she readily agreed. She had promised to tour around Paris after her schedule and she was glad that he was offering to be the tour guide. She threw on washed jeans and a black dotted blouse, and a pair of black sneakers to match. “Wow! You look completely different from what I saw yesterday”, he complimented her when she got out of the hotel and she smiled. Charles and Joseph met up at their usual joint where Joseph was downing alcohol uncontrollably. He was furious about the mess that backfired on him. He didn’t have the slightest doubt that his plan would fall through. He was confident. “You should take it easy, you can always strategize again and shoot another shot. Although she had talked to her mother and confirmed that she was fine, sleep left her eyes for the night. She kept thinking about who could be responsible for the incident that had happened to her mom, but couldn’t pinpoint anyone. She finally had to rule it out as a coincidence when Josie’s call came through. “Hello Amber, is something going on with you? Someone is going around gathering information about you from the secretary forum. They said they are your old classmates, but it seemed suspicious because they could easily contact you at Shellhouse.
