"What do you want to eat? You can pick whatever you want, I'll pay for it."

I've been quiet since he invited me inside the convenience store because of shyness. After our conversation earlier, he suddenly let me out of the car to invite me to eat first.

"Hey, you don't need to be shy..." He caressed my back that sent my body into frenzy.

"Uh, I'm not that hungry..." I moved my back away from him and he seemed to notice because he looked down at his hand that fell when I moved slightly away from him.

"Woman, I literally heard your stomach grumbling a few minutes ago." He poked his cheek using his tongue. "Don't be stubborn."

I took a deep breath and grabbed a cup of instant noodles. I'll just pay him when we meet again.

If ever we'll meet again.

"Grab a few more, you can bring it home," he ordered.

"N-no, this is enough," I refused. I'm already embarrassed to take one piece, what if I take more?

    "Mom, I'm home," I shouted as soon as my feet touched the floor of our house. Mom immediately came out of the room and greeted me. The tiredness and weakness on her face is obvious, I think it's because she has done a lot of laundry today. "How's work?" She asked me worriedly. "I'm sure you're very tired." "I can do it, mom. Just a little push, we can pay our bills and debt again," I said, referring to my salary that was about to be given. Mom solemnly looked at me. Worry and pity was evident in her eyes and it was painful to look at that so I just looked away. "Have you eaten, mom? Where are my siblings?" I asked, changing the subject. I can't bear to see my mother in pain. I don't want to cry in front of her. "T-they just finished, dear. There's still a dish left over there for you."
