“What was that?” he asked quietly.

Layla didn’t look up at him. Her fingers were still wrapped around her phone, she still wore careful expression

“Nothing we deal with right now,” she said. Then finally, she met his gaze. “Let’s just… enjoy the night first. We’ll talk about it after.”

Viktor paused, he studied her for a second longer, then gave a small nod. “Alright.”
