Chapter 14

BRUCE

"Good morning," Annabella said softly, as I slowly opened my eyes. I turned to face her, still a little dazed from sleep, and noticed that she was already dressed and ready to go.

"Were you planning on sneaking out while I was still asleep?" I asked, I watched as she smiled and laughed, she was beautiful.

"Well, I'm already dressed and ready to go," she said, "but I wrote my phone number down on that piece of paper over there." She pointed to a slip of paper lying on the nightstand.

"What if I hadn't noticed the paper with your number on it?" I asked. "How would I have been able to reach you?" I slowly got out of bed and put on my shorts, and walked towards her.

I could see her face soften as she looked at me, "You would have found a way," she said with a smile. "I'm not that easy to lose track of." She laughed very hard at what she had said.

"What if I write you a check for you to stay with me, for just a few more hours.” I kissed her neck and rubbed my hand along her shou
