After a grueling trip, it was refreshing to unwind with my buddy, Harley, in the VIP area of this club. The music was calmer and I could finally relax and enjoy a drink.

Harley seemed like his usual self, making small talk and trying to get me to loosen up. But I couldn't help but think about the business deal with SPLINTX.

Harley grinned at me, sipping his drink. “So, what’s been going on with you? Work still kicking your butt?”

I let out a sigh. “You know how it is, always something new to worry about.”

“That’s the price of success, isn’t it?” Harley replied. “But seriously, you need to take a break every once in a while.”

I nodded. “You’re right, I do need a break. But business is always on my mind.”

“Especially now that you’ve got a sexy secretary to worry about,” Harley said, raising an eyebrow.

I glanced around to make sure no one was listening. “I can’t help but feel like there’s more to her than meets the eye.”

“She’s good-looking, isn’t she?” Harley chuckled.

“She is,”
