“Is there something you need Mr. Belmont?” It was Calvin, appearing to breach Orion from his line of thoughts.

“Something I might be able to help with?” He asked once more, pressing his lips together.

All Orion did on that spot was shrug, taking a step closer, seconds after watching Elysia walk out from his field of vision.

“At the moment, nothing,” Orion flashed a smile, one that did not reach his eyes, ignoring the fact that it was obvious. “But I can't say.”

“Number?” Calvin asked, pressing his thumb and index together as he awaited Orion's response.

Since Elysia left him that night— three years ago, he had learnt that most of the things he did for her was out of guilt, and ever since then, he tried to act out of freewill, but still, it felt like he was not trying enough.

And maybe, just maybe, he was not trying enough as expected of him.

After the incident that happened in ArgonTech meeting room where Orion dismissed the meeting barely after a minute, he felt guilty for his

“How are things with her now?” It was Elijah, taking his eyes off the bottle, and the next thing that followed was the small cup in which he placed on the table, before throwing both hands to the back of his neck. Orion stopped what he was doing, widening his eyes in total confusion. “With who?” There were times when Elijah would tell Orion that he really needed to decide about who he was willing to choose since he was tired of clarifying his words. Funny enough, the time came again. “Are we doing this again?” Elijah asked, pinching the bridge of his nose. Orion shrugged, pushing his cup aside as he placed both hands above the table, knitting his forehead as his patience grew weary. “It’s about Elysia of course.” “You could have said it from the start then,” bitterness was tinged in Orion's tone as those words left his mouth, and he sank back into the chair, taking a shot of whiskey after that. Elijah waved with a neutral expression on his face. “My bad, so tell me, how is it?

Seraphina moved from where she was, moving to the huge window in the office where she stopped, chuckling at every passing moment after she heard that familiar voice. Yes, the voice had changed a bit compared to the last time she heard it, maybe deeper, or rougher, but still, she'd recognize it anytime, and anywhere. “Donovan?” She called out of shock, narrowing her gaze on a dark spot on the window, something that needed complete concentration to be noticed. “Is that really you?” For a second, there was silence between them, not until she heard someone giggling, and not long after that, the answer to her question came in. “Yes that's me,” the man's voice was hoarse. “But not the sixteen year old me this time, trust me.” “Just like you, I've also grown, what do you think? I did not betray you did I?”Seraphina placed a hand above her stomach, walking away from her position. “God, it's really you.” “To cut the long story short, just come down, I'm there,” he announced, staring at

Seraphina sat down on a couch in the fashion house, watching the movements of everyone of the workers that were currently in the room. Just a little above fifteen that were in the room at that point in time. “No,” she rose to her feet, approaching one of the ladies that had an armband on her left arm. “Not that way!” She hissed, taking the female jean from the lady, before placing it below a black polo that had the logo of a female cheetah head at the side, and the lady stood at her side, clasping both hands behind her back. “This is how you do it,” she was calm this time, turning to the lady who had been watching her all through the time she had been arranging the cloth. The lady pressed her lips, nodding continuously. “I'll do it better next time ma.” “It's not like I scared you on purpose, but then,” Seraphina paused, folding her hands above her chest. “Maybe that was the only way it was going to sink into your head.” “I appreciate that ma'am,” the lady answered, swallowing

The air in the meeting room remained conducive, with each party of the both companies staring at one another. One was contemplating, and the other was waiting; no words were needed.“Is that a very good decision?” Calvin whispered, leaning closer to Elysia whose eyes were still fixed on Orion. “Or do you think it's ideal for us to let her know?” “We'd like to call this person in,” Elysia voiced out, tilting her head slightly, but Orion's silence only prompted her to speak further. “I've seen what making decisions for people has led to, so I don't want to make someone a victim of that, what do you say?” Orion leaned in, his gaze darting between Elysia and Calvin before letting out that thoughtful sigh. “Yes, it's fine, go on.” Elysia glanced at her wristwatch, fixing her eyes on the table once more. “Mr. Henderson, please help us.” All through the time they were silent in the meeting room, Orion could not help but keep looking at Elysia even when she did not look at him, not even

Elysia placed both hands on the mahogany table, locking her eyes on that of Mr. Henderson. “Two weeks ago?” She asked, arching an eyebrow. “Are you sure it's two weeks ago, and not before or after.” “Yes ma, I'm sure about it,” he replied, shrugging. “Is there a problem ma? Or are you yet to see him?” “No,” she shook her head, taking her hands off the table. “Not at all, I'm just curious that's all, since I don't remember having any business with him last two weeks.” “Last week included,” she added, crossing a hand defensively above her chest. “The reception can confirm ma'am,” he pressed, rubbing the under of his lip with his thumb. “I was the one who told him you were not around.” Elysia frowned, sitting on the chair with a sigh. “Did he state his reason for coming here?” “No, he just said he was looking for you, and since I know you two have been meeting for business lately, I responded to him,” the words tumbled out in a rush, and he sighed, burying his face in his palms.
