LOGINFreya rushed to her room when she arrived home. Her eyes were completely red as she spent the entire journey home crying and wiping her tears. She had tried to reach Ivy several times, but each attempt failed worse than the last. “This is Maddox's fault,” she murmured, gripping a handful of her bedsheets. Would she lose a genuine friend because of Maddox's antics?Just the thought of losing Ivy was enough to send her spiralling. For the third time in the span of thirty minutes, tears escaped from Freya's eyes. She couldn't lose her friend. She absolutely couldn't. —---------------------------Freya's eyes were puffy and red-rimmed when she stepped out for breakfast the next morning. Maddox glanced at her, and his eyes narrowed. But he didn't make any comments. Draven took in her appearance, and a frown appeared on his face. “Good morning, Draven.” She greeted, promptly ignoring Maddox. “What's with your eyes?” Worry was laced in his tone as he asked, “did you cry yourself
“I'm so exhausted.” Ivy groaned as she plopped into one of the seats at the cafeteria. “What's your definition of exhaustion?” Freya asked, taking a seat while staring after Ivy in amusement. “You only sat for two hours, listening to the professor lecture.”“Exactly.” Ivy clapped her hands as though Freya finally understood it. “It is not easy to listen to a professor repeat the same thing for two hours. That's the reason for my exhaustion.”Freya chuckled. “Hi.”They both snapped their heads, their gazes landing on a timid boy who happened to be the source of the shy hi they heard. “Hi?” Freya was the one who answered, her big eyes staring at the guy. “I… wanted to speak…” He paused, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. “I wanted to speak with you.”Ivy's brows lifted, suspicion written all over her face. “Who did you want to speak to?”“Freya.” The guy replied almost immediately. Freya and Ivy exchanged glances, communicating with their gaze. “Me?” Freya pointed at hers
She was right. But he couldn't help it. If he didn't do this, then…He shook his head to clear his thoughts. “Leave Freya, leave. I'm not interested in you showing me pity. I don't want it.”Freya was taken aback. “Pity?” Shock ass laced her tone as she stared at him. “You think I'm showing you pity. Is that it?”Maddox didn't respond which caused Freya to let out a loud scoff. “You are unbelievable.”She didn't wait for his reply before she walked out. She didn't need to cater to his childish actions. Maddox watched her leave, and he let out a deep exhale. Why can't you understand that I'm doing this for you, Freya? He asked. But unfortunately for him, she wasn't here to give him the answer he needed. *********************“It's so nice that you're here early. I heard a rumor.”Freya's brows shot up as she looked at Ivy. “What rumor would that be?” Ivy looked around, deliberately lowering her tone as she though she didn't want someone else to listen to what she had to say.
Freya was seated on the sofa, a bowl of popcorn on her laps and a sitcom showing on the TV when Draven and Maddox walked in. Her entire face lit up when her eyes landed on her brother but her expression darkened when Maddox came in after him. “Your entire face changed twice as soon as we walked in.” Draven teased her, giving her a small peck on her cheeks. She smiled softly and replied. “My eyes landed on an eyesore. My expression had to change, don't you think?”Draven glanced at Maddox and his eyes narrowed. “Are you both fighting? Again?”“No.”They both replied simultaneously. “Then what's with you both? I can't stay in a house which is filled with tension. What the fuck is with you both?”Maddox took a deep breath. “I'll be in the room.” And he walked away, barely acknowledging Freya. Freya's brows drew together as her gaze landed on her brother. “What happened to him?” She asked, unable to hide the concern that creeped into her voice. “They lost today's game. And it was
Maddox walked around aimlessly. He wanted to see Freya. He wanted to console her. But he couldn't. Firstly, he didn't know where she was. Secondly, he couldn't show his face to her. He didn't even dare show his face to her. After all, he was the reason for her situation. Maddox stopped at a corner, and lowered himself before he drew in a long breath. “This is fucked up.”—-----------------------When Maddox arrived home, Freya was in the living room, curled on one of the couches. He stopped in his tracks just as Freya's icy gaze landed on him. “Fre—”He didn't even complete his statement before Freya rose to her feet and walked to her room, without sparing him a single glance. Maddox watched her leave, stunned into silence while unable to do anything. Once he heard the unmistakable loud bang of the door, he ran a hand through his hair, almost letting out a scream. —-------------------Next Day“Glad to see that you are looking better.” Ivy commented, taking a seat on the b
Cassie's smirk became full-blown. “You heard me, didn't you?” She took a step closer to Ivy, leaning to whisper. “I said they can choose whatever they want to do with her.”“Am I hearing things?”“I don't think you are. Cassie just said we can choose to do whatever we want with Freya.”“Damn. It'd be nice to get a taste of her ass.*“I think you all should sit this one out. Are you forgetting who her brother is.”Conversation continued while Ivy and Cassie locked gazes. Freya, on the other hand, remained quiet. Her body was physically there but her mind was far away. “You are going to regret this. I promise you. You are going to regret this.” Ivy seethed quietly while her hold on Freya tightened. “Be my guest. I'd love to see you try.”Ivy gave her one final glare before she walked out of the canteen, hand still firmly wrapped around Freya. Different statements were thrown at them but she made an effort to block the words. She had never felt more grateful that Freya was currently
