Chapter XIII
Keith looked slightly unrecognizable thanks to Carolyn's talent. She has successfully managed to make his skin look a little bit darker and drew some scars around his face. His lips were blueish and his dark circles darker. He hid his hair under a straw hat and wore clothes he borrowed from a friend.
Carolyn left her younger brother with the neighbours and walked with her friend outside the village. They woke up earlier this morning to follow the palace guards and avoid meeting someone they knew for fear they might recognize Keith. Carolyn put her hand around his arm to pretend to be just a couple having a walk in the forest. This way, they won't look suspicious.
It took them a while to finally arrive at the palace. Carolyn widened her eyes as the building was large and occupied a space ten times bigger than their entire village.
