Fear gripped her while she huddled her knees close to her chest. She could feel the beads of sweat already forming on her forehead. Olivia had been in that position throughout the day.

The sound of gunshots kept echoing in her head, and she closed her eyes for a bit to calm her racing heart. What if she had died from those gunshots, huh? Was that the main reason Kayla died? She asked herself unanswered questions.

She gently took a deep breath again and again. Likewise, she could feel her fear subsiding. Then she pulled out her phone from her pocket and placed a call across her mom.
