And what in the world is going on here?

I looked at Gabriel confusedly. I thought we're on the same page — that we're the same. I thought he loathed the nobility so much that he would die in sight of one. Guess that I am over exaggerating things. Looking at him now, he doesn't look disgusted even one bit.

“You were shot,” Gabriel declared. I brushed my eyes and looked at his irritated face. “And you didnʼt even tell anyone.” He sighed as he walked nearer to my bed. “What should I do with your stubbornness? I might die of a heart attack because of your recklessness, Ran.”

For him to whisper my name affectionately in front of my contractual partner, I can't help but admire his audacious attitude. But I am well aware that he's digging his own grave right now.
