Alaric POV:

I watched as Marissa stirred in her sleep. I couldn’t believe she was pregnant, how dare she cheat on me and carry another man’s child. I snorted as she sat up, confused, and looked around the room after realizing where she was.

“My baby?” she asked when her eyes met mine. I moved closer to her bed.

“So you knew you were carrying a child for another man, a bastard while you were married to me.”

The thought of her and another man made me angry. I never loved her, but I married her, and then she slept around with other men.

“I didn’t sleep with anyone. You have to believe me,” she pleaded, still clutching her stomach. I scoffed and pinned her to the bed. I watched as fear crept into her eyes. She whimpered.

“I had the bastard removed. And don’t think I’ll let you go, you still have to pay for what you did to Stella. After I’m done with you, you will regret meeting me and everything you’ve done,” I said angrily.

“No, not the baby. You can’t harm my baby,” she sobbed, thrashing around the bed.

“You can’t do that to me. You didn’t kill my baby. You wouldn’t harm the baby,” I heard her say.

I laughed and looked away from her after releasing her. I couldn’t afford to look at her. I felt disgusted, and I wondered if it was for myself or for her.

I walked away from the room and went to the hospital director’s office. I saw Matt behind his desk. Matt is our friend, my best friend from childhood. He didn’t support me divorcing Marissa, aborting the bastard, or the idea that I was planning to get back with Stella.

“You know, we could still save the baby,” Matt said while tapping his finger on the table.

“You said it would be fifty-fifty,” I retorted, but the truth was I couldn’t stand the idea of her carrying another man’s child.

“What about Nova? She will need her mother. You went too far by letting Marissa sign off her parental rights. Nova is her child too,” Matt said with concern. I snorted.

“My daughter will not have a mother who is a whore, and I will not let that whore near my child,” I said. I had made my decision. Marissa would surely pay for cheating on me and hurting Stella.

“I still think you should investigate. Someone might be trying to frame her, you know,” he said as he looked at me, still tapping his fingers on the table.

“And who would want to frame her? There are pictures, and she even admitted it!” I yelled. I ran my hand over my face.

“Marissa would never do that!” he yelled back.

“Don’t yell at me. I knew you always loved her. You were obviously jealous when she chose me,” I spat.

“Yes, I was and then I was happy for her. But what did she get in return for her love? You’re blinded with rage. I swear to God you don’t deserve any bit of her,” he hollered, standing up. I moved closer to him and punched him in the face.

“You bastard! Don’t tell me what to do,” I screamed at him. He held up his arms, showing he surrendered, not wanting to fight.

“I don’t want to fight you. Even if I want to punch the hell out of you, Marissa wouldn’t want that,” he said and went back to sit.

“You obviously cheated on her too. When Stella came back and called you, you ran back to her. Marissa was there to pick your broken pieces when Stella left. She is part of what you are today,” he continued calmly, looking at me.

“I would have done it myself,” I said, looking away from him.

“No, I don’t think you would be able to,” he said. My jaw clenched as I looked angrily at him.

I opened my mouth to say something when a nurse rushed inside.

“Sorry for not knocking, sirs. The patient in VIP ward 203… disappeared,” she said, looking at both of us while catching her breath.

“What do you mean disappeared?” Matt asked as he stood up to pick up his coat.

“A nurse went to sedate her, since she had been crying furiously. But when she got there to check on her again, she wasn’t there,” she explained.

“What do you mean she disappeared!!” I shouted. I wasn’t done with her yet. I swear to God, when I find her…

“Have you checked the security cameras?” Matt asked as we walked out of his office.

“Yes, sir, we already did,” the nurse answered.

“Go now. Ask security to check inside the hospital and the vicinity,” Matt ordered. She quickly walked away.

We walked to her ward but found the bed empty. I checked the bathroom, hoping she would be there, but it was also empty.

A security guard later walked into the office. He said everywhere had been checked but there was no sign of her.

She fucking disappeared.

Marissa POV“Wait, what?!”She turned to me and smiled. “You don’t have to be shy with me. I thought we were getting along like friends.”“You are a con artist, and we aren’t friends. I don’t trust you, and I am not into BDSM,” I said.“Whatever, but I am helping you have fun. Loosen up; you will enjoy it,” she said as she dragged me onto the dance floor. It was almost like a normal club, but with people in leather costumes. I decided to loosen up tonight and forget that I am a mother and a CEO.I danced like I had never had fun before, and suddenly a man came behind me. He didn’t look like a member but a visitor like me. I moved away from him, and he tried to pull me closer. I was ready to subdue him before someone dragged him away from me.Alaric.“Are you okay?” he asked me, and Raina turned to us..“Yes, thanks.”“What are you doing here?” he asked. Raina came between us.“To have fun,” she answered as she smiled flirtatiously at him.“Lucia…”“Join us…” Raina offered. She pulled

Marissa POV I laughed at my screen, remembering Stella's face. And with Prissy's face all over the internet was satisfying. The press is all over the Monroe' mansion. How can Alaric let his sister sell her body, but what would I know. I have always known Prissy was never satisfied with what she had.“You look happier today!,”“I have always looked happy,” I turned to Lucien.“Why are you all dressed up,” I said.“Going out!,”“Hmmm,”“Don't you dare open that mouth of yours,” “Hahahaha,”“Bye,”“Bye lover boy,”I smiled, I am glad that Aria was able to break his ice wall and melt his heart. I looked around, the whole Villa was silent. My father and grandfather decided to take Nova and Levi to see the world, for the weekend, they decided to start with China. I wondered what they could do in two days.“Ah,” I sighed, I am now alone. I picked my phone.“Hi,”“Hey,”“Do you want to come shopping with me?,” I asked her.“Really?”“Yes,”“Okay, let go. But bills on you,”“No problem,” ★★

Alaric POV I pace my office. “Where's Prissy?,” I asked my assistant.“Right now she is heading for a hotel, in disguise,” he said.“Bring her home and I want the press out,” I said.“Yes sir,” I looked at the post again, it was Prissy intimate pictures with the old CEOs. I should have known that is why she could afford to buy Lucia expensive things.“Do you know about Prissy actions?,” I asked Stella.“No, she stopped sharing anything since she and Lucia became friends, maybe asked Lucia,” Stella said. With the Prissy scandal, I will have to deal with Stella and I hope Stella didn't cause any trouble.“We need to go, still have this resolved, don't go anywhere,” I said to Stella. At the gate of the Mansion, the gate was swarming with reporters. Two scandals at a time, I have always avoided it being the center of attraction. Prissy and Stella had managed to ruin that for me.“Don't slow down, go in straight,” I said to the driver.“Yes sir,” I walked into the mansion, soon after P

Alaric POV “What?!,”“No, she pushed me!,” Stella said.“Stella, I thought we were over that?,” I said. I am so frustrated.“I…I she tried to push me…I…,” “You and I know you are lying,” “I am not!, she pushed me,” “....I wanted revenge!. You supported her and I have to go home alone. And I know the painting you bought was for her!!,” she screamed.“You aren't a child to be told from what is right and from what is wrong. I will talk to Lucien and we hold a press conference for had happened because you choose a wrong place, time and person to get your revenge on and you must do as they say,”“You and I know how the Alden deal with people who go against them, and you should have known by now Marissa is not to be messed with,” I said walking out of the ward.I decided to meet Lucien at a cafe, to say it will be easy for the Aldens to shift the blame on Stella, and doing that will cause little loss on their side and a huge dent on mine and I can't let that happen.“Mr Monroe,” Lucien

  • THE MARRIAGE HE BURNS: The divorce He Regret    Chapter 97

Marissa POV “God, it hurts as hell!,” I said, sitting up on my bed.“Wow, I am surprised that is the first thing you would say,” I looked around the room, my father, grandfather and Lucien were watching me.I gave them a crooked smile, because I knew I was about to get lectured about what happened.“Hey, I am fine. I just needed to pass out,” I smiled.“You put yourself in danger, child!. You aren't fine,” my father angrily said.“Well I am fine now,” I said as I lowered my voice.“No you aren't. You should have let her die if she wanted to. Why join her?.,” Lucien asked.“And be the evil bitch!” I said, I wasn't going to let Stella win, if she can play victim I can do it better “You shouldn't do that again, Lucia,” my grandfather said. And I went silent, my brain went blank at that moment. The only solution is to do the same thing she did.She was such a freak, she risked her life and I child. My body hurts!.“We would have protected you, next time don't act like that,” My grandf
