Chapter five

"Sorry to drag you away from Carl but I need to speak to you!" Mrs Carol, Carl's teacher said as she stopped Nora at the front of the school gate.

"Umm okay sure" Nora told her before turning to Carl

"Honey,why don't you take this and go sit over there and wait for mommy" She said pointing to a bench not far from where they were standing.

"Okay mommy" Carl replied as he walked slowly towards the bench, dragging his bag on the ground.

Turning back to face Mrs Carol she said

"So?"

"Nora! Carl is a very brilliant boy but he lacks social skills, he doesn't talk in class, he has no friends whatsoever. Kids are like that, sometimes it might be because they are shy or have not been around other kids,and the other half of the time it's because they are being cautioned from home not to associate with other classmates!."Mrs Carol said, wearing a questioning look on her face.

"So which do you think it is?" Nora asked her.

"I don't know!That's the reason I'm here talking to you!" Mrs Carol said before adding "Look we are both mothers, the only difference is that I have a mate and I'm with the father of my child…."

Before she completed her statement Nora jumped in

"So you think because he doesn't have a father figure that's why he's silent in class, i'm everything he needs a mother and father,his alpha and Omega!! Or you think I asked him not to talk to his classmates!!Are you kidding me right now Mrs Carol?"

Mrs Carol who was trying to calm her down said in a low voice "Nooo that's not what I meant to say, I mean It came out wrong..how about we sit down and talk?"

"How about you do your job and butt out of his life!" Nora said to her, looking away from her to stare at the bench where she told Carl to sit earlier. Upon looking, she didn't find him.

"Oh my God Carl!"

Nora shouted panicking as she ran towards the bench followed my Mrs Carol,

"Carl!!" 

Nora shouted louder this time as she got close to find a little gathering of people wondering that something was wrong and that Carl might be the reason why they were gathered she ran into their midst to find him talking to a stranger,she didn't even look up at him as she began scolding Carl in the presence of everybody.

"Look at me young man,I leave you to yourself for five minutes and you run off causing trouble..Now look at your shirt!!"

Turning to look at the stranger who held an empty coffee cup in his hands she spoke rather too loudly .

"Did they never teach you to watch the road well to avoid bumping into little kids and ruining their uniforms?"

She scolded him,the stranger who happened to be Dominco couldn't respond as he was in shock of the realization that the omega he couldn't get out of his head all these years was standing right in front of him spewing nonsense from her mouth while defending a kid and worst of all she didn't even recognize him.

 Nora feeling like the man wasn't listening moved closer to him poking him on his chest

"Do you know how hard it is to wash coffee stain out of clothes in addition to baby dirt,do you?".she asked him

Dominco wanted to shout at her so bad for forgetting him he was angry not at the whole scenery that was playing before him but for the fact that she FORGOT HIM.

'Does she even know how much his shoe cost that she keeps shouting about a child's clothes!'.Taking his time to really look at what was happening he stared at the boy who already had tears in his eyes. 'He's probably four, looks like her, dirty and beautiful'

Turning to look at Nora who was stretching her hands towards him he asked

"What?"

She laughed before saying. "Money!! You're obviously paying for it, he's obviously in need of a new uniform and you're going to pay for it since you ruined his?"

Dominco who was cautious of his surroundings and not wanting the crowd who had already gathered to grow more he put his hands in his pocket taking out his cheque book he asked her

"Would five grand be enough to cover it"

On hearing five grand Nora wanted to jump excitedly but she didn't, instead she acted like five grand didn't move her and spoke

"Nope,it wouldn't even cover half of it anyways, so you might as well just add more".

Dominco looked up at her in surprise,he knew what she was doing,billing him in front of everyone where he could not refuse. He smirked as he wrote down fifteen grand on the cheque and handed it to her,he watched her expression when she collected it. He watched the way her eyes widened on seeing how much he wrote down. It was just fifteen grand and It wasn't a big deal to him but he could see it was for her.

Not wanting to waste anymore time he left heading towards his car where Matthew was already standing outside waiting and watching all that was happening.

Before Nora could recover from the shock of how much she was seeing, the crowd had left, leaving her and Carl who was holding her dress.

She looked around searching for the man. She didn't see him. Not wanting to breakdown in front of the road she bent down facing Carl she spoke softly as she apologized for scolding him

"I'm sorry love,to make it up to you let's get ice cream!"

Nora said, picking up his bag from the ground and holding out her hand for Carl to hold.

"Okay" Carl, forgetting about everything, jumped excitedly as he held his mom's hand following closely.

Nora's mind kept wondering who the stranger was,she didn't get to look at him properly but she knew he was hot,when she poked him earlier she met hard chest,and wondered how it would feel to actually touch him,lay her hands flat in his chest and damn his voice when he spoke the first time she felt her pants pooled ,she couldn't remember the last time she felt like that.

Shaking her head she cancelled the thoughts from coming more and she focused on the road saving the thoughts for later.
