Feynman nodded and left at a brisk pace. He returned to Fernando.

"Mr. Fernando, congratulations. You have officially inherited the W Group!"

Moments later, Sherry walked into the office with a warm smile on her face. "Congratulations, Mr. Fernando," she said, looking at him meaningfully.

Fernando smiled bitterly. "Congratulations? What am I supposed to be happy for? My grandfather just ruined my life. Should I thank him for calming me down? Besides, who knows what he'll do when he's in a bad mood?"

Sherry looked at him silently, then said softly, "Still, I think you deserve congratulations. The South Lenoten branch is the strongest in our company, and now you're its president. That means there will be many great opportunities for you in the future."

Fernando just smiled blandly. Sherry tried to calm him down. "Mr. Fernando, don't be too disappointed. I don't think your grandfather is someone who acts impulsively. I'm willing to help you demonstrate your abilities and solidify your position as an outstanding heir."

"Never mind." Fernando waved a hand, sighing. "I'm not interested in the Quinn family."

Sherry smiled awkwardly. "Sorry, I may have said too much."

She immediately looked down apologetically, and unconsciously made her cleavage visible to Fernando. The man immediately looked away, trying to keep his gaze polite. He then looked for an excuse to change the subject.

"It shouldn't be difficult, right, to handle my wife's company matters?"

Sherry nodded quickly. "I've taken care of it, sir."

After that, she took out two bank cards and handed them to Fernando. One was gold-colored, the other was an elegant-looking jet black.

"This black card is a VIP card from Citizen Bank, with a deposit of one billion dollars. The president asked me to hand it to you directly," Sherry said. "While this gold card is exclusively for big customers at Bank B's branch in City B. With this card, you can deposit one hundred million every year. You can also take your wife to see Mr. Lewin at Bank B if you want to apply for a loan."

Fernando accepted the two cards without hesitation. He stared at them for a long time, his lips thinning. The veins in his hands and feet seemed to tighten. All the hatred and anger he had been harboring seemed to explode, but also began to subside. He was too tired to hold a grudge. A billion was nothing, just a small compensation for the pride that had been trampled on.

"Okay. Then, I'll leave first," he said flatly.

"Wait, Mr. Fernando!" Sherry held him back with a soft voice. "Dragon Bay Villa is officially in your name now. Mr. Louis and Mrs. Mordona Walson, the people who used to treat you well, are currently there. Your grandfather has also prepared some cars for you. You can move in at any time."

Fernando was silent for a moment, then frowned. "Give me the car keys. I want to see Mr. Louis and Mrs. Mordona."

He remembered the past, when he was still bullied by the Quinn family. When everyone treated him like trash, only those two people showed her affection. Mr. Louis often helped him heal his wounds, while Mrs. Mordona secretly brought him food when no one was looking.

To Fernando, they were more than just adoptive parents, they were his true family.

"Maserati or Porsche?" asked Sherry politely.

"The regular one," Fernando replied simply.

He chose the Mercedes-Benz S65, then left the W Group building and drove to Dragon Bay Villa.

When he arrived, Louis and Mordona were waiting out front. They enthusiastically welcomed Fernando's arrival.

"Mr. Fernando!"

As soon as his car stopped in front of the villa, a middle-aged couple ran up to him. Their eyes were red, tears falling as they watched him get out of the car.

Fernando held his breath, his chest tight with emotion. "Mr. Louis, Mrs. Mordona... I missed you so much."

The sound broke in her throat.

They hugged each other for a long time. After calming down, they sat and talked in the living room. Louis made Fernando a bowl of warm herbal soup, just like before, just like when he still had no one.

After eating together, Fernando said goodbye. It was almost evening, and he had to go back. There was another obligation waiting for him, making dinner at home. Otherwise, his mother-in-law would scold him again.

Sure enough, just minutes after he left the villa, his cell phone rang. The name that appeared on the screen made Fernando take a deep breath.

"Yes, ma'am," he answered softly.

Xiomara's voice exploded from the other side of the line. "I told you to go home, but you went out! Look at the time! Why haven't you cooked yet? Do you want me to starve, huh?"

Fernando was silent, his eyes staring blankly ahead.

His mother-in-law wasn't done yet. "And why did you only send two hundred and fifty today? You know you have to leave in three days, but that's all the money? Are you deliberately trying to make me sick?"

Fernando sighed softly. He tried to explain patiently. "Mom, I took today off, so there's no daily salary. But last month I still had over three thousand dollars. Why did only two hundred and fifty come in? Did you miscalculate?"

"How dare you accuse me of lying?!" Xiomara snapped.

Fernando held himself back. "That's not it, ma'am. Please send me the screenshot, I'll ask the company."

"No need! If I don't see the three thousand dollars today, you don't have to come back home!"

The phone was immediately hung up.

Moments later, a message arrived on his cell phone. Fernando glanced at it, only two hundred and fifty dollars.

He massaged his temples. It wasn't the money, that amount meant nothing to him now. But the humiliation piling up in his chest made his breathing difficult.

"What the hell..." he muttered softly.

He hurried to the office where he worked.

As soon as he entered the building, some of his colleagues immediately greeted him with ridicule.

"Hahaha, isn't that Fernando? Didn't you get fired by the manager? Why did you come again? Want to ask Mr. Zick for mercy? Forget it, he was very angry that time!"

Fernando was surprised. "What? Fired? When?"

An older man, Mr. Hugo, looked at him with concern. "Fernando, didn't anyone tell you?"

Fernando shook his head. "No, Mr. Hugo. Why was I fired?"

Mr. Hugo let out a long sigh, seemingly reluctant to answer.

Suddenly, there was a loud voice from inside the room. "You damaged a client's property and almost got into a fight with him! The client filed a complaint, and I almost lost my job because of you!"

Fernando turned his head sharply towards the source of the voice, Mr. Zick, the manager who fired him.

His colleagues began whispering, spreading gossip in low but clearly audible tones.

"I heard he saw his wife in a hotel... with another man."

"What a pity, huh? He was betrayed too."

Fernando clenched his fists, his blood boiling. "Bullshit!" he shouted.

He stared at them with angry eyes. "You can insult me, but don't ever demonize my wife! She's innocent!"

Mr. Zick smiled sarcastically. "Oh yeah? Then what are you going to do? Call the police to arrest me?"

Fernando looked at him sharply, his voice lowered but full of pressure. "You might not go to jail, but since you've fired me for no reason, I'll make sure you lose your job."

After breakfast, Fernando went back to his room.Joyce had just come out of the bathroom. Seeing that Fernando looked like he wanted to say something, she asked quietly, "What's wrong?"Fernando nodded. "I have a classmate who works at the bank. He happened to come here on business yesterday. I want to meet him, maybe he can help us get a loan. So, I'll probably be home by noon. Could you please tell Mom that I didn't have time to prepare lunch?"He sighed softly. He knew that if he told his mother-in-law right away, the house would be noisy again."Okay," Joyce replied in a flat voice. She took out her cell phone and transferred two thousand dollars to Fernando's account."Here..." Fernando was silent. His face heated up slightly at the numbers on the screen.Joyce gave him a glance. "I don't mean to do you a favor, but you're a man, Fernando. Don't lose face when you leave the house. Oh yeah, don't tell Mom about the money I transferred." After saying that, Joyce turned and left.

Joyce's uncle Michelle gave Lucas a worried look. "Why don't you thank your grandfather?""Thank you, Grandpa! Thank you, Grandpa! I'll definitely think of my own mistakes!"Lucas got up from the floor. His face was swollen, but he didn't seem to be in any pain. He looked at Joyce with a cocky smile, patted his pants, and walked away with his chin held high. From his demeanor, he looked like he had won something. As he passed Fernando, he gave him a cynical look and whispered softly, "Just wait... sooner or later, you'll regret it."After Lucas left, the old man turned to Fernando. His voice was deep and firm. "If it wasn't for the fact that you're going to divorce Joyce soon, I wouldn't have let you off the hook today. How dare you, a useless son-in-law, meddle in the Nagel family's affairs?"He snorted loudly, then looked at Joyce."Joyce, come here." Joyce stepped forward and said softly, "Grandpa, I don't want a divorce."This time, her tone was steady even though her small han

"Do you think I'm having an affair?"On the way home, Joyce asked expressionlessly. Her voice was calm, but cold, like the rain that had just stopped outside.Fernando, who was sitting behind the wheel, did not answer immediately. He stared straight at the road with gloomy eyes. His tone was flat when he finally said, "I had that thought when I opened the door earlier. But I quickly erased that thought. I know you're not that kind of person."Joyce turned her head, looking at her face in the street light. "Then why did you say something like that to me?"Fernando let out a long breath. "Because I felt... I didn't deserve you. I didn't want people to laugh at you just because of me. You're a good woman, Joyce. As for me, I'm just a loser."Joyce looked out the window, seeing the shadows of the streetlights dancing on the wet glass of the car. "Then, if you think so lowly of yourself, you should try to change it. Don't just give up. If you keep putting yourself down, I'll end up hating

Get lost!" he said in a sharp tone. They were the servants of the Quinn Family, and the man standing at the front was Feynman, the family's butler."Mr. Fernando," Feynman said in a trembling voice, his face full of fear. "Your grandfather sent us to get you. He wants you to take a DNA test. If we can't get your blood within three days... something terrible will happen to the Quinns! Please, come back with me and save your family!""Come back?" Fernando grinned bitterly."For as long as I can remember, no one in the Quinn Family has ever treated me like a human. "Excuse me."Fernando hurried to the LT Hotel with a parcel in his hand. It was almost evening, and soon his wife would be coming home from work. He had to deliver this parcel quickly, then return home to prepare dinner so she wouldn't get angry when he came home late. Before long, Fernando arrived at the door of the presidential suite, as per the address on the note in his hand. Before he could breathe a sigh of relief, he had already pressed the doorbell hurriedly."Ding-dong..."The bell rang several times, and soon the door opened."Nice to meet you. You..."Fernando's words trailed off as his eyes caught sight of the figure standing at the door. His mind immediately went blank. The parcel in his hand fell to the floor with a soft sound that echoed in the hotel corridor.
