"Excuse me."Fernando hurried to the LT Hotel with a parcel in his hand. It was almost evening, and soon his wife would be coming home from work. He had to deliver this parcel quickly, then return home to prepare dinner so she wouldn't get angry when he came home late.Before long, Fernando arrived at the door of the presidential suite, as per the address on the note in his hand. The person who opened the door was no one else, but his own wife, Joyce.And behind Joyce, stood a young man wearing only a bathrobe. His hair was still wet, as if he had just finished bathing.Fernando recognized

"Do you think I'm having an affair?"On the way home, Joyce asked expressionlessly. Her voice was calm, but cold, like the rain that had just stopped outside.Fernando, who was sitting behind the wheel, did not answer immediately. He stared straight at the road with gloomy eyes. His tone was flat when he finally said, "I had that thought when I opened the door earlier. But I quickly erased that thought. I know you're not that kind of person."Joyce turned her head, looking at her face in the street light. "Then why did you say something like that to me?"Fernando let out a long breath. "Because I felt... I didn't deserve you. I didn't want people to laugh at you just because of me. You're a good woman, Joyce. After breakfast, Fernando went back to his room.Joyce had just come out of the bathroom. Seeing that Fernando looked like he wanted to say something, she asked quietly, "What's wrong?"Fernando nodded. "I have a classmate who works at the bank. He happened to come here on business yesterday. I want to meet him, maybe he can help us get a loan. So, I'll probably be home by noon. Could you please tell Mom that I didn't have time to prepare lunch?"He sighed softly. He knew that if he told his mother-in-law right away, the house would be noisy again."Okay," Joyce replied in a flat voice. She took out her cell phone and transferred two thousand dollars to Fernando's account."Here..." Fernando was silent. His face heated up slightly at the numbers on the screen.Joyce gave him a glance.
