The Pull Of You

NEO

For a second, I forgot how to breathe.

Daniel’s voice was low, almost a whisper. The kind that sinks right under your skin and stays there. Relax. Or do you like it when I help?

What the fuck did he mean by that?

Maybe it was a joke. Maybe I imagined it. But the way his breath brushed my ear, the warmth of his fingers just barely grazing my back—no, I didn’t imagine that.

My heart thudded against my ribs hard enough to make me dizzy. I should’ve stepped away. Said something. Anything. Instead, I stood there like an idiot, staring at the wall while he pulled the zipper up and adjusted the shirt. I hated how flustered I was getting just by being this close to him, parts of me buried deep inside threatening to resurface.

The sound of heels clicking snapped me out of it. Sasha’s voice floated closer.

“You two done in there, or should I give you privacy?”

I stumbled forward, dragging the shirt off like it burned. “It got stuck,” I blurted out, way too quickly.

Where You Go, I GONEOThe door slammed before I even realized Daniel was moving. One second he was standing there, jaw clenched, eyes cutting through me like he was trying to hold himself together, and the next… he was gone. Just gone. The echo of it rippled through the house and straight through my chest. For a moment I couldn’t move.Couldn’t breathe.I clutched the fork so hard it almost broke. Anne said something about posting the pictures she took on Instagram, but I didn’t care. My head was a mess. All I could hear was my own pulse thundering in my ears and the ghost of his voice when he muttered that stiff, broken “I’ll be back.”He left because of me. Probably because of what almost happened in the kitchen last night.I swallowed and pushed back from the table. My throat felt tight, like someone’s hand was still around it—his hand—and the memory hit so hard my breath stuttered.“You can carry on. I have something to work on in my room,” I said to Anne as I wiped my lips with

Trying to Escape MyselfDANIELI didn't know what I was doing. But I did know I didn't want it to stop. My length strained against my shorts as I ran a thumb over his throat again. His plump lips parted and I couldn't help but bring our faces together, inhaling his citrus scent. Our lips grazed and I almost died from how bad my balls were aching.“Da..Daniel..”, he choked out, his heart beating so fast I could hear it and his breath coming in shallow and uneven.“D..Daniel”. He called out again, snapping me out of whatever trance I was in. I pulled my hand away so fast his head darted to the side as he let out a low chuckle. Shit. What have I just done? Without waiting for a minute longer, I bolted out of the kitchen, not sparing a glance at my back, afraid of what I’d see on his face.I slammed the door so hard behind me it would have broken down if it wasn't so strong, heart hammering like a drum in my chest. The room was dark, the only light coming from the faint glow of the city

Under His GripNEOThe second Daniel walked away, I knew the room felt wrong. Anne was still talking, but all I could hear was nothing—just the look on his face before he turned away. Anne and I met when I was starting my music career. Things were tough back then, but she stayed until she got tired of me not bringing anything to the table. We were young, and she was impatient. At least that was what I’d been telling myself. Long story short, she left me for an older, richer man. And now that I was rich and famous, she wanted to climb her way back into my life.I knew her intentions very well. But at the same time, I was also using her to test a theory.“Neo, you’re not listening to me,” she said, tugging at my arm while pouting her lips.“Sorry, what were you saying?” I asked, finally giving her my full attention.“I asked if I could stay the night.”“Just for tonight.”“We could talk more,” she added after I didn’t give her a reply. But I already knew it would come to this.I rubbed

No One Can Be Trusted DANIEL What do you mean?” My voice came out sharper than I intended. It scraped the air between us like something brittle. Justin didn’t answer immediately. He just looked at me, brown eyes concerned and the tightness in his jaw told me this wasn’t something small. The smell of different kinds of food hit my nose as soon as we stepped into the diner. We found a quiet place to sit, a bit secluded and empty to prevent nosy people from eavesdropping. Finally, Justin exhaled. “The car isn’t supposed to exist.” He repeated as a cold shiver ran down my spine.. I moved my chair closer. “Explain.” He reached into his jacket and dropped a flash drive into my palm. It was warm from his pocket. “I traced the VIN,” he said quietly. “Daniel… the vehicle was registered to a charity. A church-run one. “So?” I asked, though my stomach had already tightened. “So the charity’s financials were edited and not updated. Edited. Rewritten three months ago.” He paused. “Sam

She Is BackDANIELThe living area of the Penthouse smelled like him before I even saw him. Sandalwood, something clean and warm underneath, and the faint edge of his citrus shampoo from his morning shower. I hated how quickly my shoulders dropped when I breathed it in as my body recognized him before my mind did.It had been three days since we left Paris.Neo was sitting on the couch, pretending to scroll through his phone, but his posture was too stiff. He only went that quiet when he was overthinking, which was usually a sign that I needed to keep my distance. I wasn’t sure if I was avoiding him or protecting him.Maybe both.“Long day?” he asked, voice lighter than his eyes.“Something like that,” I said.I didn’t trust myself to say more.I hung my jacket, trying to ignore the way he kept glancing at me. Three days and the space between us still felt like a bruise we were both pretending didn’t hurt.I should’ve left it alone.Walked to my room.Shut the door.Kept the boundary

One Breath ApartNEODaniel stepped back into the hotel dressing suite like he hadn’t just disappeared for ten minutes. No explanation. No warning. Just strolled in with that calm, stoic look on his face like he hadn’t dragged my anxiety through a marathon.“Where were you?”It came out sharper than planned. He blinked, surprised. “I told you. I stepped out to take a call.”“You didn’t tell me,” I muttered, arms crossed. “You just vanished.”He paused, studying me. “I didn’t realize you’d be looking for me.”My jaw clenched. “Well, I was.”His expression softened, not enough to be obvious, just enough for me to feel it. Annoying. Dangerous.“I’m here now,” he said quietly. “You’re fine.”That stupid, calm reassurance went straight to my chest.I hated how much I relied on it.Before I could snap back, my phone buzzed in my pocket.Daniel’s eyes flicked down. “Someone’s been texting you nonstop.”Of course he noticed. He noticed everything.“It’s nothing,” I said.He gave me a look. Th
