Isabella had an unsettling feeling in her stomach. This alliance she had entered into with Alistair didn't go down well with her at all but she didn't see any other way for now. She was physically and emotionally exhausted.

Jasper walked up to her his brow furrowed as he said

“I don't trust him, but I can see that we didn't have much choice.”

Isabella only nodded as he mind was still on the happenings during the unplanned meeting with Alistair. Alistair was a very dangerous man, he was power drunk and forming an alliance with him felt like walking into the edge of a sword, but there were too many forces to battle and Isabella felt that she needed all the help she could get.

Suddenly as they were walking, they heard a loud sound like people fighting and immediately she drew her dagger ready to attack.

“Stay close,” she ordered, her voice sharp as each of them moved quickly trying to know where the noise was coming from and they saw that Alistair guards had been attacked by masked fi

The night seemed to pass too slowly for Isabella as she lay awake for hours in her room in the cabin. She was physically exhausted but her mind was sharp as she kept thinking about the vision and the words of the Moon Goddess kept playing in her head.“Unite or perish.”“How did I ever find myself in all of this?” She thought. All she had ever wanted was to prove herself a worthy Alpha by earning her father's respect and also to her pack members and not this power that has been thrust upon her by fate. She wasn’t just a warrior anymore. She was a vessel for the future, a future that could either heal the werewolf kingdom or plunge it into chaos.Isabella tossed and turned in the bed as her body needed the rest badly. Suddenly there was a soft knock on her door which interrupted her thoughts.“Come in,” she said. The door opened and Felicity walked in. The same unease Isabella had noticed in her eyes during the meeting with Alpha Alistair was still there in her eyes and Isabella wond

The pregnancy was beginning to take its toll on her mind and body and she was still holding because of her warrior and fighter instincts. She got out of bed and freshened up and went out to find Jasper and Felicity.“Good morning sleepy queen” they both chorused. Isabella knew at this point that she needed to focus and find a way out of the situation at hand and deal with Felicity's betrayal later. She paused in deep thought to try to figure out something as they were definitely outnumbered and a confrontation would be deadly.“I know these woods very well and I can get us out of here, the only issue might be our scent as these wolves hunt with scent and that's how they are able to sniff us out” Felicity suddenly said. Isabella and Jasper looked at her surprise written all over their faces.“Please Isabella, you have to trust me on this one, I've been working with them, remember?” “Even if we want to believe you, how do we mask our scent as you said?” Jasper asked Felicity and at that moment Isabella remembered the vial with the potion to help mask her scent that Lydia had given to her. She had never had a need for it until now.“I think I have a solution to that” Isabella said as she brought out the vial from her bag and took a sip then o

The night was a dark and lonely one. Tristan was standing outside the chamber. He tested on the stone walls as he looked at his son sleeping. If not for Seraphina who had been helping to guide him. This new silence of sleep was way too heavy for both Tristan and Isabella. No one knew what to do, even the wolves that were sworn to protect him were all helpless. As Tristan was Deep in thoughts, the air around him changed. He didn't need to guess as he already sensed the presence of the Moon Goddess Her voice was soft as always but firmer this time.“You’ve been waiting a long time, Tristan.”He couldn't respond. Her presence already signifies that whatever the child was going through was tied to his destiny. The Moon Goddess had always been revered by them for years. “You are here again?”Tristan asked her, his voice was tired f

The boy was changing. Not slowly, like the seasons that crept in unnoticed, but with the kind of sudden violence only a storm could bring. A force that moved through the calm, ripping apart everything it touched. It began quietly, almost imperceptibly, with dreams. It was never clear where they came from. Whispers in languages Lioran had never been taught. Visions of forests burning, wolves howling at shattered moons, mountains splitting open like the skin of an ancient beast. At first, Isabella thought it was nothing but nightmares. The child was young, too young to be burdened by the weight of visions. And yet, every morning he woke, silent and distant. His eyes weren’t wide with fear, though. They never were.He woke still, watching something only he could hear.Something that made him different.Tristan noticed it too. Lyon’s eyes had changed. They were no longer those of a child, full of innocence and wonder. They had become something else, heavy. A depth that Tristan had only se

The camp smelled of iron and fire. Tristan was standing alone in the central circle, he was sweating profusely. The darkness within him seemed to return and he was trying seriously to fight it. His breathing was heavy; he had to support himself with his sword as the force was so strong he could barely stand on his own.He saw shadows, and at the same time he was hearing voices telling him to burn everything down and run. The madness was returning, it was the voice of the first Alpha. At that point he realized that the curse had not ended, it was still there somewhere waiting to come out.He held tightly to the blade of his sword as he tried to steady himself. Probably hidden or buried as he could feel the rage and hunger that came with it.Isabella had

  • THE PURE ALPHA    Convincing The Council

Seraphina could see the doubts on all their faces, she could hear the murmurs of their disapproval as she stood at the front of the room, her heart was racing terribly and as prepared as she had been for this moment, the look on their faces made her begin to doubt herself again. The Pure Alpha, the one who the prophecy said was going to either save them or destroy everything had to be guided by someone and that person was her. He needs to learn how to control the power that flows through him as he's just a child. She’d spent years running from the prophecy, running from the fact that she had been chosen to carry the weight of it. And now the time to act and step into the role that fate has placed on her had come and there was no more running from it.“Seraphina.” someone called herShe turned and saw it was one of the oldest council members that had called her, and he had a sneering look on his face.“Are you telling us now that the Pure Alpha child, someone who has been said to bring

“Seraphina,” Tristan’s voice cut through the quiet. “Is there anything else?”“I have said it all.”His eyes were dark, and searching as he looked at her.“How can you carry both of those bloodlines? The Hollow Born, the Moonbloods, they’re too much. They don’t belong in one person.”Seraphina sighed. “I wasn’t given a choice, Tristan, this is what I am.”Leandro walked over to them then, his face grim. “The question isn’t how she carries both bloodlines. The real question is how she’ll be able to control the power inside her.”Seraphina observed all of them, and knew they were all battling with her revelation between them, feeling the weight of their gazes. Tristan’s voice was low, almost threatening. “But she has to decide, or it will decide for her.” Tristan said, his voice calm but hard. She nodded. “I know.”Later that night, Seraphina was on her own, thinking about everything. From the hearth a gentle crackling fire cast its warmth across the room. At this moment the stone walls showed shifting darkness as a mix of pine scent and wet night air filled the room. Seraphina occupied the space by the fire while her expression remained distant because she was worried by the council's decisions. From his position near the window Leandro stood rigidly. He hadn’t spoken much since their return from the northern woods, and Seraphina knew why. The forest had changed them all. What Leandro had witnessed in the woods, the power surge and how it had affected her had changed everything. The thought that she could have died. “Leandro, please try to understand,”Seraphina said with a soft voice as she stood near the stone table. Her hands laid gently on the cold stone table as she stood there while her fingers tapping absently on the table.Leandro turned from the window, his eyes locked onto hers. “Understand what, Seraphina?
