⋅ ⋅ ⚘ALEXIA'S POINT OF VIEW⚘ ⋅ ⋅

It had been a week since I last set eyes on Drake. After the heartbreaking way I’d left his office—after he’d made it brutally clear just how insignificant I was to him—I couldn’t stand the sight of him.

But I wasn’t going to let his words crush me. I was going to prove to him that I wasn’t the weak, helpless woman he thought I was.

I buried myself in my work at the pack infirmary, letting the endless stream of patients and medicinal herbs keep me grounded.

It was the only thing holding me together.

“Are you really going tonight?” Kaia asked softly.

I looked up from the desk in my small office, where I was busy organizing patient files and sorting through fresh bundles of marigold. I didn’t need to ask what she meant.

Tonight was Drake and Lena’s engagement party—an event that was supposed to have been my wedding day.

“I’m a pack member, Kaia,” I replied, keeping my face completely blank as I filed the last document away. “I have to show my face.”

Kaia gave me a sad, sympathetic look, but she didn’t push.

And that was exactly what I did. I stepped into the grand hall of the pack house, staying far away from the center. I kept to myself, sipping wine in a quiet corner and avoiding the rowdy crowd.

But my peace didn’t last long.

A sharp tap of high heels echoed against the floor, and Lena sauntered over, a tall glass of champagne balanced between her fingers.

“You must be Alexia,” she said, her voice dripping with insincerity.

“I am,” I said, keeping my posture straight and my tone icy.

She tilted her head, her emerald eyes raking over me with disdain. “You know... I’ve always been able to spot a thief the second I see one.”

My eyebrows pulled together. “Careful with your accusations, Lena. Calling me a thief doesn’t make it true.”

“That dress you’re wearing is mine,” Lena said, her voice suddenly sweet enough to fool anyone who didn’t know better. “Drake had it made as a gift for me.”

She glanced around the room, making sure the nearby pack members were listening before turning her attention back to me.

“I suppose you thought no one would notice.” Her lips curved into a faint smile. “But stealing from your future Luna isn’t exactly a good way to earn the pack’s respect.”

A few whispers rose from the surrounding crowd.

I clenched my jaw. She was twisting the situation deliberately, making it seem as though I had stolen the dress.

“I didn’t steal anything,” I said firmly. “This dress was handmade by my late mother.”

I refused to lower my head simply because I was an omega standing before the woman everyone had already accepted as their future Luna.

Lena let out a mocking laugh. Then she turned toward the watching pack members, her expression suddenly shifting into one of wounded innocence.

“I tried to handle this privately,” she said, loud enough for everyone to hear. “But she refuses to return what belongs to me.”

Whispers swept through the hall.

My fingers curled into fists.

She wasn’t just accusing me anymore. She was making sure everyone believed her.

Not wanting to give her an audience, I turned on my heel to walk away.

“Guards, seize her!” Lena demanded.

Before I could move, two guards stepped into my path and grabbed my arms. I thrust forward, desperately trying to break their grip, digging my heels into the floor and refusing to make this easy for them. But the tension snapped the side seam of my dress with a sharp rip. They dragged me back until I was standing right in front of her.

“Remove the dress,” Lena ordered, her eyes flashing with cruelty.

The guards hesitated, exchanging uneasy glances. Even they seemed reluctant to carry out her order, their eyes briefly flickering toward the watching crowd as if they knew exactly how far she was asking them to go.

For one fleeting second, I thought they might refuse.

Then Lena’s expression hardened.

“Right fucking now! Didn’t you hear me?!” she snarled.

“Please, don’t!” I shrieked, panic clawing at my chest as tears of frustration burned my eyes.

Not like this.

I had already lost Drake. I had already endured the humiliation of watching him choose another woman. I couldn’t let them take the last shred of dignity I had left and tear it apart in front of the entire pack.

I fought harder, twisting desperately against the guards’ grip.

One of the guards reached for the shoulder strap of my dress, tearing the delicate fabric downward as I thrashed wildly against them. Lena watched the spectacle with a triumphant, wicked smile, taking a slow sip of her champagne.

They were just about to tear it open completely, exposing me to the whispering crowd, when a deep, commanding voice boomed across the hall, cutting through the air like a blade.

“Stop.”

The guards froze, dropping their hands and backing away as if they had been burned.

Trembling, I wrapped my arms tightly around my chest, trying to cover my exposed skin.

Before I could even look to see who had spoken, a tall man moved between the crowd and me.

He wrapped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me firmly against him, his body completely shielding me from the pack’s prying eyes.

My breath caught.

I didn’t know who he was.

But judging by the sudden silence that fell over the hall, everyone else did.

⋅ ⋅ ⚘ALEXIA'S POINT OF VIEW⚘ ⋅ ⋅ The door opened at dawn, bringing in the cool morning air. A female rogue stepped into the room, holding a covered woven basket. She walked over and offered it to me. “Veyr wants you to have this,” she said. “Thank you,” I replied, taking the basket from her hands. When I lifted the cloth lid, the mouthwatering scent of baked bread and dried meat hit my nose, making my empty stomach growl loudly. I noticed she hadn't closed the door behind her on her way out. The exit was clear. He was truly keeping his promise and granting me my freedom. Still, a strange flicker of unease settled in my chest. I couldn't shake the memory of the shadow standing outside my window late last night. Had I just imagined it in my exhausted state? Deciding not to dwell on it, I ate half of the food to build up my strength, carefully packing the rest away for the long journey ahead to Mason's territory. Gathering my courage, I stepped out of the room and into the ope

⋅ ⋅ ⚘ALEXIA'S POINT OF VIEW⚘ ⋅ ⋅ I spent the next few hours treating the injured rogue wolves. It was obvious they had just suffered a catastrophic defeat in a brutal war. They had lost nearly half their men, and the survivors were left bleeding, burned, and severely battered. One young warrior was brought to me with a deep gash across his abdomen. Blood soaked through the makeshift bandage pressed against his wound, and his face had gone frighteningly pale. "Please," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "Don't let me die." "You won't," I assured him, even though I couldn't promise that. I pressed a clean cloth against the wound and began working quickly. The smell of blood and burned flesh filled the cramped clinic, making my stomach churn. As I examined the injury, I noticed something unsettling. The edges of the wound were badly torn, as though it had been caused by claws rather than a blade. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of battle had left these wolves in such a

⋅ ⋅ ♛ MASON POINT OF VIEW ♛ ⋅ ⋅ I had searched every inch of the surrounding territories, but there was still no trace of her. Yet I refused to stop. I would tear the realm apart until I found Alexia. I didn't care what it cost me. I only needed to know she was alive. The thought that she could be lying somewhere wounded—or worse, dead—sent a fresh wave of fury through me. She was out there somewhere, and my wolf was clawing at my chest, howling for us to track her scent and bring our mate home. To clear the suffocating darkness and rage consuming my mind, I decided to pay a visit to those two wretched vermin in the dungeons. Drake and Lena had been my prisoners, rotting in the damp darkness, and I wasn't letting them draw a peaceful breath until Alexia was back in my arms. I swept down the stairs into the subterranean prison. The iron door groaned open, revealing the couple suspended from the ceiling by heavy, silver-infused chains, their wrists raw and bloody. Their clothes

⋅ ⋅ ⚘ALEXIA'S POINT OF VIEW⚘ ⋅ ⋅I woke to a blinding throb of pain pulsing inside my skull. My vision swam as I tried to move, but every muscle in my body protested, stiff and bruised.I was lying flat on hard ground. The air was thick and stale, carrying the sickening stench of copper, damp earth, and rot.Instinctively, my fingers moved over my body, checking for broken bones or serious injuries. My ribs ached, my shoulders were badly bruised, and a sharp pulse in my skull told me I'd taken a nasty blow to the head.I blinked several times, testing my vision. No double vision. My pupils reacted normally to the dim light. At least I hadn't suffered a severe concussion.Even through the pain, the clinical part of my mind catalogued my injuries while panic clawed at my chest. Where... where am I? Fragmented memories of last night rushed back. Injuring my arm. Escaping the dungeon. Crawling through the tunnel. The dark forest. The guttural howls. The feral wolves pinning me into th

⋅ ⋅ ⚘ALEXIA'S POINT OF VIEW⚘ ⋅ ⋅ After Kaia slipped out of the cell, leaving behind the iron key and cloak, I sat in the darkness, my pulse racing. One thought consumed my mind: I had to run. I had to save myself and the tiny, fragile life growing inside me. I forced myself to wait until the deep silence of midnight settled over the pack house. Standing up on weakened legs, I accidentally dragged my forearm against a sharp nail protruding from the wall. Pain shot up my arm as the metal sliced deep into my skin. Crimson blood trickled down my wrist, dripping onto the floor, but I couldn't afford to waste time tending to it. I tore a strip from my dress, quickly wrapped it around my bleeding forearm, and pushed forward Taking the iron key with an unsteady hand, I slid it into the heavy lock. It turned with a quiet, muffled click. I pushed the door open, stepping over the dark droplets of my own blood. Staying low in the shadows, I moved silently past the sleeping dungeon guard.

  • THE REJECTED OMEGA'S KING   Chapter 6: I Found Her

⋅ ⋅ ♛ MASON'S POINT OF VIEW ♛ ⋅ ⋅ I had spent my life searching for my true mate, though there were times when I doubted I would ever be granted one. I wondered if I would ever get the chance to hold her, but the desperate need for a soulmate burned like an endless fire in my chest. My late father never believed in the sacred bond of fated mates. He cruelly rejected his own true mate—my mother—leaving her to wither in heart-wrenching agony while he married the daughter of his father's Beta. He reduced my mother to a secret mistress, hiding her away in shame, until his Luna proved unable to bear him a child. He ripped me from her arms the moment I was born and raised me strictly as his blood heir. He cared for nothing except his status as the Alpha King and his desire to rule over the largest, most powerful, and wealthiest pack in the realm. Under his ruthless rule, our pack remained the most powerful and wealthiest in the realm, but the palace was a fortress built on blood an
