Chapter 3. Queen mother helps her son get his love

So rude she didn’t even bother to say a HI, she was upset by the queen mother’s character

“But who is he, which servant will dare look at the queen in a seductive manner,

'I have to know this man', as she spoke out loud.

Her maid entered the room without knocking and overheard her,' am sorry my lady, what man?' she thought she was talking to her.

"Huh, oh no I did not mean a man I meant the the palace, I needed to know the palace," she responded

It was obvious it had been six months and she never left her room. She is only human, and she needed some fresh air and some stretching.

She too was bored and wanted to get out of her room. 'It’s time for me to know the palace I have been indoors way too long, ‘and I want you to accompany me, you know the palace better and you are the only one close to me'

Politely she asked her maid.

‘Maybe this is my fate, at least am happy here, no beatings no arguments it is a quiet boring life but a good life,” the maiden was pardoned to leave by the elder queen as she was deep in her thoughts, her thoughts were disrupted by the elder queen.

Don’t forget to dress your best, she startled her, she picked her hand fan which she had left on the chair and left

what a relief though, it’s been six months no one has ever come to see me, how I wish she were my mother-in-law she sounds cool. She spoke out loud, the prince was excited to hear her say this.

He found a back door and left through it

‘Oh no, the man in my closet she remembered and rushed to go release him.

He already left and I didn’t Get A chance to see him, she sat down on the stool. Seated directly opposite to the mirror, embracing herself the way the man touched her, she sniffed her hand, to feel the scent from the man, lost in her own world’

A soft knock on the door reminded her to get ready, a clear voice from far was heard, my queen may I please have your permission, to come in, I’m here to help you get dressed, the queen mother has sent this attire for you, ‘oh please come on in and thank you. she was a humble human being; despite her position she still appreciated the small things unlike other queens.

“My lord am sorry to disturb you, but I think it’s time we discuss about the prince, his future and the future of the kingdom, I have set a meeting with our son and your new trophy, seems like you’ve never visited her since she arrived in the palace.” The queen mother spoke

His face showed some remorse and gentleness as well, the king had not realized how fast the time had gone, he felt sorry for her. Scratching his beard, the queen mother knew there waws something going on with him.

She stood up and went close by, he was the oldest queen and the wisest one, she was his best friend, she knew a lot about the king,

‘My lord why that look on your face? What have you done; can it be fixed?’ she asked with so much worry in her voice

Yes it can be fixed, I haven touched the new girl yet, something stops me anytime I plan to go to her, it’s like it’s a taboo, the king told her.

Standing at the door the prince overheard the conversation,

‘What a relief she has not been touched by my father, this is good, but I can’t have her, she’s my mother.’

He was about to enter the room when he saw the new queen arriving, she was dressed like a fairy tale princess, her long hair took everyone’s breath, her smooth skin., her glowing smile caught everyone’s attention, her gentle steps on the ground, everything in her caught the princes attention.

Leaning at the door, he looked at her with so much admiration, he lost his balance and almost fell inside, quickly he stood up straight and waited for her to get close.

 finally, we are going to meet and have a real chat face to face, the prince was mesmerized by her super natural look. The thought of him going to have a chance to speak to her one on one dazzled him

Carefully watching her steps, she arrived at the meeting room,’

Oh, I see the gardener is here maybe he wanted to tell me about the meeting,’ the queen thought to herself.

Their eyes met, he smiled at her, she tried hard to compose herself not to let him see her weakness, she felt weaker as she got close to him, she wanted something more than a smile from him, an embrace perhaps, her mouth opened, suggestively she asked him to get close with head twist.

His scent was now clearer, he was the man in her room, she felt even more confused, her heart beat faster, she felt restless and short of breath, she was uncomfortable around him. He wanted to turn and go back to her chamber.

The king asked his son what hi plan was, when was he going to introduce the princes to them. the prince was heartbroken, he told his parents that the girl he thought was going to marry and was in love with had already been taken, and the man having her can’t let her go, with a broken heart he told them that he has no chance with her, because the man with her has more power and could easily destroy their lives if they were to make it public. But asked them for time to figure his next move.

Slowly he removed his cape, that’s when the queen got a chance to see him,

The queen almost fainted upon seeing his face, he leaned back at her seat, with all hope lost in her look, she retreated being part of that family, tears rolled down her eyes, but quickly wiped them before anyone could notice. The prince looked at her direct in the eyes and saw the restlessness in her.

She must have remembered me the prince was excited

‘This is shocking the man I have been dreaming of is my now my son, what kind of cruel game is the world playing with me, shocking and confused she had to ask for permission to leave the room, she needed to process the news,

‘I wish to know who the girl is my son,’ his father demanded

Diana, the queen, stopped to hear the name, but victor refused to say the name, he knew it will bring chaos in the palace. days passed by, both trying to get close to each other and speak, queen mother could see it in their eyes how much they were in love but afraid as well, without letting them know she helped them get close and have a chat.

He set out a hunting trip for the king, he sent him away in the nearby forest with four other queens, the journey was to be carried out or four days, this was a perfect opportunity for his son and his woman to get close. She ordered for a rest day to all maidens to give his son a chance to speak with Diana without any restriction.

The palace was quiet and perfect for them to interact 

he finally got a chance to hang out with his new mom,

he had to ask, of course, she betrayed him.

Diana told him she had no choice, her boyfriend wanted her dead and the only place she could think of was to run to the nearest kingdom and seek for help, she didn’t know that he was a Prince until then, when she got the king proposed a marriage since she was helpless and didn’t see a sign of him showing up she agreed but told him ever since she got married the king has never set his foot in her room,

‘Am so sorry I didn’t know you had such a rough time; it was supposed to be me helping you but I travelled and let you down, please forgive me’ Victor begged her, queen mother watched them from far, it was clear the two were in love long before then, she was excited to see her son have so much peace while with Diana

as days go by, the king being busy fighting with the wrong kingdom, the two fell in love completely and made love leading to a pregnancy. the prince promised to take fully responsibility and marrying her, the two gained courage and told their mom.

Shockingly she was prepared for the news and instead of being mad she was very excited, weeks passed by the signs started showing that the new queen was pregnant, the mother told them to tell the truth before the king found out by from someone else.

The king did not receive the news well he ordered the two to be captured,
