Academy courtyard was marble white, 1000 noble students in blue uniforms stared at 100 dirty slaves in broken mine clothes. Jin stood front, 16, thin but straight, crown hidden.

Whispers loud - "Slaves in Academy? This is insult!" "That boy broke A-Rank orb - Monarch?" "Monarch is myth!"

Vice-Master Lady Elara, S-Rank, white hair to waist, stood on stage, ice aura made all silent.

"Silence! By Academy law - any who breaks A-Rank orb enters as Special Class. These 101 are Shadow Class. Leader - Jin - Monarch class. First in 500 years."

Nobles laughed, angry. "Myth! He is slave Property 722! Check his neck mark!"

Jin touched neck - collar gone, but scar still there. He didn't hide.

"I was slave," Jin said loud, voice clear. "Yesterday I was Property 722. Today I am S-Rank. Tomorrow? Maybe your King. So kneel or duel - choose."

Silence shocked.

Then tall gold-haired boy stepped - Leon Solaris, Duke's son, Academy Rank #1, A-Rank Summoner, 18, handsome, arrogant.

"My Lady, permission to duel? If Monarch is real, he can beat me. If he loses, slaves leave Academy, never return."

Elara nodded. "Duel approved. No killing."

Leon summoned - magic circle gold, A-Rank Griffin King, 4 meters wing, beak like sword, roar shook courtyard. Students cheered - Griffin killed B-Rank demons alone.

Jin didn't move. He called soft, "Knight."

From his shadow, B-Rank Shadow Wolf rose, black fur, violet eyes, but smaller than Griffin.

"HA! B-Rank vs A-Rank? You insult me, slave!" Leon commanded, "Griffin - Sky Slash!"

Griffin flew, claw glowing gold, 10 wind blades.

Jin whispered second word, secret skill from past life, "Fusion."

Igris - his Knight shadow - merged into wolf. Black armor covered wolf, long sword in mouth, crown on head.

Shadow evolution - Knight + Igris = Shadow Knight Wolf - A+ Rank, 3 meters, aura black-violet.

Wolf jumped - not dodge - through wind blades, blades cut shadows but shadows reformed. Sword bite - one slash - Griffin wing cut clean.

Griffin crashed, blood gold.

Leon fell, connected to beast, pain shared.

Court over - silent.

Jin walked to Leon lying, offered hand, not sword.

"You are strong. Your Griffin is brave. Don't waste bravery on pride. Join me. Shadow Class needs strong like you. Not as slave - as Knight."

Leon looked at hand, at Jin's eyes - no hate, only King respect.

He took hand. "I... Leon Solaris... follow Monarch."

CHAPTER 10: DORM 13 - 600 WORDS

Dorm 13 was at Academy edge, forest behind, 10 years abandoned, roof broken, walls black mold, students said ghost killed last residents.

Perfect for Monarch of Shadows.

Jin opened door - dust, spiders, broken beds.

"Clean," Jin ordered.

Seven shadows worked - Igris with sword cutting vines, Fang moving rocks, Elder sweeping with magic, Knight and Griffin guarding door, 2 miners fixing roof - 1 hour, dorm clean, beds fixed, fire lit.

100 ex-slaves got first rooms, first beds, first doors that lock from inside not outside.

They cried, touching beds.

Night, Jin sat alone roof, counting power.

Shadows: Igris B+, Fang B, Elder C, 2 miners C, Knight B+ (fused), Griffin A = 7/10. Mana 90%, near A-Rank. Can now hold 3 fusions same time.

Branded: Varok B-Rank human guard now loyal.

Followers: 100 no-mana but learning, Leon A-Rank noble.

Jin called little girl Mira, 10, daughter of slave who died in mine, Jin promised to protect.

Jin touched her forehead, small crown mark transferred, not full Monarch brand, but Legion Brand - allows see and command one shadow.

"From today, you are Shadow Apprentice 1. Knight will protect you."

Knight bowed to little girl, big wolf kneeling to small child.

Mira hugged Knight, giggling.

One by one, Jin tested 20 kids - 5 could see shadows. Good start.

Outside tower, Lady Elara watched dorm glow black, not haunted but protected by Monarch aura.

She whispered to crystal ball, "Master, Monarch returned, Academy will hold."

Far north, Demon Kingdom, Demon King Azazel, SS-Rank, felt Monarch aura reborn through his assassins network.

"Monarch again? After 500 years? Send Shadow Killer - kill boy before A-Rank."

Three black figures disappeared from demon castle, moving to Arcadia.

Next morning, Dorm 13 would face first assassin - A-Rank Shadow Killer.

But tonight, 100 ex-slaves slept with no collars, no whips, with doors locked inside.

Jin looked at moon of second world, two moons, whispering, "First life I was alone Shadow Monarch. Second life, I have 100 people. This time I will not lose anyone."

Shadows knelt around him on roof, guarding King.
