Byron walked out of the bathroom, wrapping a towel around his waist, and his hands were busy to dry his wet hair with another small towel. He slowly walked towards the dressing mirror and looked at his tan body with huge muscles where water droplets could be seen because of still wetness.

He moved the towel from his hair to his body to get it dry. He continued doing it in his back, shoulder, and stomach and then moved to his arms when he suddenly paused to see something unusual in the mirror.

  • THE TRADED WIFE   Match

Granny looked at Abigail’s reaction, but she could only see her calmly sipping the juice when Sara’s words fell again, “I guess, we need to find a suitable match for him sooner.”Her words caught Granny’s attention as a victory smile danced on her lips, “That’s true. We need to find a great match for him.”A juice almost spilt over Abigail’s mouth, but she maintained her composure and looked over Sara and Granny.Sara is clueless about everything, but when she looked at Granny, she didn’t understand what she was planning to do anymore.Perhaps, this will help her get out of this mansion, thinking that she is finally calm. However, Granny saw her troubled expression getting calmer and felt doubt before landing her gaze on Sara and smiled gently, “By the way, Sara, do you have any woman in your mind? Which is suitable for your Brother? We can think about it to match if there is someone.”At this moment, Abigail’s eyes also turned to Sara.Sara smiled helplessly at the thou

  • THE TRADED WIFE   Saved

In the last few days, Granny avoided Byron as if he did not exist, while taking extreme care of Sara and Abigail. In her presence, the days go smoothly for everyone as well. It almost felt like a real mother figure had finally appeared in the home.At the same time, Byron was literally busy with his office work and barely had a chance to be home. However, nothing was left to his sight or ears; whatever was going on in the mansion was beyond his reach. He barely showed up for dinner and spoke before returning to his office and getting to work again till late at night, then leaving early in the morning.“Grandma, your cooking is truly delicious! I love this pizza for our dinner.” Sara complimented as she finished her pizza platter.“I am glad you loved it. Have it more.” Granny placed one more slice into her plate.“Thank you, Granny. I will enjoy it.” Sara smiled delightedly as she used a fork and a knife to cut new pieces and put them into her mouth, tasting the warm, melt

  • THE TRADED WIFE   Unmoved

“Granny, why did you tell me all this now?” Abigail’s eyes filled with doubt and complacency.“Because I don’t want you to hate him. I am a greedy woman, Abigail, and I still wish you and him to be together for a child.”“Granny, you know_”“Yes, but as an old woman, I can only hope the best for you both. And, today I told you this, so you can understand why he was like this and so blinded with revenge.”He believes that if his parents had not died in the car accident that day, his family would never have had to suffer. He could have been a simple man without a shady flank.“However, I know, it was fated, and no one can do anything to change the things anymore. It was destined. Most importantly, you also lose everything in that accident, Dear.”Granny’s eyes turned apologetic. Her words made Abigail’s heart heavy as she spoke with a grave tone.“Grandma, don’t you hate my parents and me?” Abigail’s eyes turned red when she thought Granny had also lost her only daughter a

  • THE TRADED WIFE   Past Truth

Abigail lay in the bed and tried to fall asleep, but no matter what, she couldn’t fall asleep. At the end, she decided to get up and walk onto the balcony. The cold breeze relaxed her heart after a long day of stress. She stared at the moon calmly when, suddenly, she heard a small knock on her door. She scowled and looked at the wall clock. It was almost 1 a.m.She thought only one person would disturb her this late at night and walked to open the door.‘Why does he need to knock? Doesn’t he have an extra key with him always?’Byron often appeared without warning to sleep next to her. When she heard the knock, she doubted for a moment.Yet, when she opened the door and saw the person standing there, she was surprised.“Grandma?” Abigail looked at Granny, who was at her door in a nightgown. Her wrinkly eyes looked red and puffy."Grandma, is everything alright?" she asked, concerned.“Abigail, can we talk?” She weakly smiled.“Yes, please.” Abigail opened the door f

  • THE TRADED WIFE   Loyality

His eyes snapped, “Granny, don’t ever dare. She can’t know about this. You should better know that.”“Why not? Abigail is your wife and is near to give birth to your child. Do you think she will be foolish for her whole life?”“Granny, I can take care of that. But I warned you. You are not speaking with Sara about Abigail.”“What if I did?” She dared to touch his authority. However, he stayed composed and spoke in a dominant tone, “Alright, then! Tell her that Abigail’s my wife and I am her child’s father. But before that, tell her this truth as well that her parents are the reason she lost her parents and lost her thirteen years.”“You_” Granny felt perplexed.“Tell her now. Go, Granny, and tell her the truth. But after that, I was ready to watch her be devastated and hate everything.”“Byron, do you think I am this cruel?” Granny’s eyes reddened with terror at even thinking of Sara going through something painful. On the other hand, Byron could see through her reaction

  • THE TRADED WIFE   Old Wounds

On the other hand, Abigail, who finally appeared with one of the staff, heard everything. She could see Sara’s difficult situation, just as in her past, and gestured to the staff beside her to serve the dessert she had brought especially for Granny. The Staff instantly went to the dining table and started serving the dessert.Granny, who was in the middle of an argument, inhaled a sweet fragrance of tres leches cake and could not help but feel amused to realise whose recipe this is.She glanced in Abigail’s direction, who tried to avoid sight, but she understood; she had prepared this for her.In their last interaction, one day she prepared this dish for her and from that moment, without a word, Abigail realised how much Granny liked the flavours and promised to make it whenever she came. This cake brought back the past memory, and Granny, who was looking grumpy a few minutes ago, finally looked calm and composed before declaring, “I have had enough arguments with my unfil
