LUCIAN.

The steel door groans open, and the faint screech of rusted hinges slices through the silence, before a tray scrapes against the floor as it's pushed into the cell.

I jolt upright from the filthy mattress in the corner, my body reacting before my mind even catches up, and I dart to the door, grabbing the tray before they can snatch it back through the gap.

I carry it to the far end of the room—if you can even call it that, because It’s more like a stone box, or a cage buried deep underground.

I sit on the cold, damp floor and inspect the tray.

The food is unidentifiable sludge, but I force it down anyway because hunger outweighs pride now.

It’s been like this for… I don’t even know how long. Weeks? Months? To me, time doesn't exist here.

The plan Ezra and I made to escape was flawless—or so we thought. Somehow, something must’ve tipped Logan off or maybe the guards sensed our shift in energy at some point. Either way, it all fell apart fast.

One moment, we were whispering thro

INGRIDAfter Aiden asked me to give him some space at the gazebo, I walked away with my usual smile, but inside, I was anything but calm. That man Logan… there was something about him. From the way he looked at me, it was like he knew me, and not just the Ingrid I am now, but the Ingrid I used to be before I lost the memories. And Aiden, he noticed. I saw the tension in his jaw the moment Logan’s eyes lingered a second too long and how he changed the subject so fast it made my skin crawl.I stepped into the house, but instead of heading upstairs, I collapsed on the couch in the living room.My ankles throbbed—swollen again—so I lifted them onto the stool, resting my hands over my belly. Then I heard it. A commotion outside that sounded like a hundred people had just walked into the compound. My heart jumped, and I rushed to the kitchen window, pulled back the curtain, and what I saw made me freeze.Aiden was beating one of those men. Viciously. His fists were wild, his kicks relentles

LOGANThe afternoon sun bathes the estate grounds in a warm golden glow as I walk alongside two of my hunters. As we pass the high hedges and black steel gates, I spot him at the far end of the compound, sitting in the gazebo, Ingrid by his side. From a distance, they look like the perfect couple—sharing breakfast, laughing faintly—but as we get closer, that illusion shatters.Ingrid turns toward me as we approach and her eyes meet mine. I see no spark or recognition in them. Just an empty, hollow stare.I’d heard rumors that the fall she suffered a few months ago messed with her memory, but I didn’t realize how bad it was.Aiden hears our footsteps and turns, plastering on a grin that doesn’t quite reach his eyes.He gestures for me to sit, then flicks his fingers at other hunters, motioning them to step back.“Ingrid, this is Logan,” Aiden introduces us like we are strangers. “He works for me.” He adds.Ingrid offers a polite smile, her hand reaching toward me. “Nice to meet you, Lo

INGRID“No! Leave me alone—nooo, you’re hurting me!” I scream, thrashing helplessly as the strange man’s grip tightens around my wrist.“Please—please stop!” I cry out, my voice cracking with terror. “Who are you? Why are you doing this to me?”His face is a blur, a haunting smear of shadow and muscle, but the red glow of his eyes pierces through, burning into me.“I don’t know you!” I sob. “Please!”Then suddenly something nudges me. A gentle, real touch, and my eyes snap open.I sit up with a gasp, drenched in sweat, my heart hammering. My breath is ragged as I scan the dim room, trying to anchor myself to reality, the nightmare clinging to me like fog.“Ingrid…” a soft voice calls beside me. Aiden’s.I turn to his direction and he’s sitting up, shirtless, worry lining his face.“It was just a nightmare. You’re safe,” he whispers, his hand rubbing soothing circles on my back.I try to breathe through the panic, but it takes time, my hands trembling as my nails dig into the pillow.A

LUCIANIt’s been days since Aiden’s confession. His twisted words haven’t left my head—each one gnawing at me like a parasite. But nothing haunts me more than the last thing he said before storming off. “The next time you see her, she won’t recognize you.”What the hell did he mean by that? Did he do something to Ingrid? Did he wipe her memories? Break her spirit? Is she even alive?I don’t know, and not knowing is eating me alive.I’ve screamed myself hoarse. Slammed my fists against the concrete walls until my skin split and bled, but no one answered. No one comes.I slide down the wall and sit on the freezing floor, curling into myself with my head between my knees.“What are you going to do, Lucian?” I mutter aloud, my voice raw and distant.I wipe sweat from my forehead with the back of my arm, my mind racing, desperate for a solution, but my thoughts are a mess. Each idea leads to a dead end and Ingrid’s face keeps flashing before my eyes—her smile, scent, and voice, which doesn

INGRIDAiden is finally moving me from the hospital. The ride home is quiet, and Aiden keeps glancing at me through the rearview mirror.I keep my eyes on the window, hoping something along the way will jolt my memory, but everything outside looks unfamiliar.Miles pass in silence, trees and towns blurring together, until we finally turn onto a narrow road that winds toward a secluded estate.“Here we are,” Aiden announces, slowing down the car. I look up at the iron gate and the sprawling compound beyond it, a little excited.“Anything look familiar?” he asks, flashing a smile that doesn’t quite reach his eyes.I shake my head, offering a faint smirk. “No... nothing does.”He reaches out and cups my face gently. “Don’t worry. It’ll all come back in time.”He parks the car in a stone-paved driveway, steps out, and circles to my side. The door swings open, and he offers his hand.I hesitate for a breath, then take it, letting him help me out.“Wow,” I breathe, gazing at the mansion bef

LUCIANA heavy silence hangs between us as I sit there, bound to the chair, the sting of the wolfsbane still burning into my skin, but it’s nothing compared to the fire building in my chest.Aiden paces in front of me like a predator stalking his prey, his eyes filled with something darker than rage— contempt.I struggle to wrap my head around what he just said, that my father killed his father and it doesn’t add up.He stops abruptly and turns to me as if reading my mind , his eyes red with fury. “Yes, Lucian. Your father killed his own brother—my father—to steal the title of Alpha.”I stare at him for a moment, then scoff under my breath. “You must be very mistaken Aiden.”“You think it’s funny?” he snaps, stepping closer.I shake my head, amused by the absurdity. “My father never had a brother. This is why I am telling you, you obviously mistaken.”For a moment, his face twists into a grin—not out of joy, but vindication. He strides over to a briefcase in the corner, flips it open,

INGRID.I blink against the harsh overhead light and prop myself on one elbow. My skull throbs so fiercely I can barely think.“My husband?” I breathe, my voice low and skeptical. “That can’t be right.” My heart hammers against my ribs. “Why don’t I remember anything? If you’re my husband, I should—”He steps forward, worry flickering across his face and he gently presses my head against his chest and pulls me into a tight hug.The scent of his cologne is unfamiliar but comforting in a weird way.“It’s okay, babe,” he sighs. “You were in a really bad accident. The doctors said there was a possibility that this could happen.” He tries to comfort me, but his words don’t give me the reassurance I need.I glance at the nurse standing by, clipboard in hand. She meets my gaze and nods, then scribbles something in my chart.Aiden releases me slowly and settles his hands on my shoulders. “You sure you don’t remember anything?” he asks, his eyes searching mine. The tears I have been holding ba

INGRIDI stare at the cracked ceiling, wide awake, because every time I close my eyes, I see Lucian’s face twisted in pain, and hear Logan’s cruel laughter echo around him as he tortures him.Kira’s gentle humming drifts through my mind, but it feels like static—more noise than comfort.I turn onto my side, the tiny cot squeaking beneath me, and trace the deep scratches the other prisoners have left in the walls.“Ingrid.” I hear someone call me from behind.I freeze and look toward the cell door. Dash stands there, a metal tray balanced in one hand, and a rifle sling across his chest. He pushes the tray inside and steps back.“Aiden asked me to bring you this,” he says curtly, eyes cold as steel.I stare at the stale bread, cold stew, and then at the rifle, and my heart thrums with defiance.“Something on your mind?” Dash asks, his tone mocking.I lift my chin and shake my head. “Lucian was your Alpha and your friend. How could you betray him like this?”Dash arches his brow, and his
