After my meeting with Lissa, I felt at ease and happy with myself because I was able to resist her and also let her know her place in my life. This really gave me great courage as I continued my life with my wife and son. Few weeks later, It was my son Jason's second birthday, so I decided to throw an extravagant party for him. A lot of people were invited, and different gifts were given to my son; it was undoubtedly an amazing birthday party.it was definitely an amazing birthday party full of fun celebration, dance and so on. the party ended at exactly 8 o clock in the night , and all the guest then made Their way back home. after the party was over and all the guests had left. the maid immediately parked all the gift to a room and just then I heard my wife (Edna) scream loudly as she was walking to the bathroom to take a shower, I felt the scream where I was, and it was so terrifying that I immediately ran up to the bathroom only to see writings in blood on the mirror that read, "I am coming for you all, and I will destroy your family one by one you will all suffer get ready for me because I won't tarry,  I'm coming soon."after reading it, I immediately brought my wife out of the bathroom I had to hug her tight as she was shivering so bad because of what she just saw, she was so terrified and scared.

Just then, I received a text message from an unidentified number that said, "Get ready for the news that is coming to hit you and your family, your family is headed for disaster, hahahahahaha." As soon as I realized what was happening, I was frightened and alarmed, and I immediately alerted my dead. The police then came to our house to check out and investigate what was going on. The police questioned me and my wife after questioning the maids and other workers on the spot, but they didn't find

anything. Everyone just seemed baffled as to how the writing on the bathroom mirror got there.

"Have you ever fought with anyone who might want to harm you or your family, possibly someone from your workplace or a business deal?" The police detective questioned me.

"No I do not, I don't fight with people, I don't think I have any beef with anyone that will warrant this kind of threat, I do not think I have any fight with anyone," I said, This is definitely beyond my comprehension, sir" I responded. "Okay, can we actually see the surveillance camera? We might actually get to see some suspecious movement on that day, can we see that Mr. Adrian? The detective requested

" Sure you may sir, please follow me, I responded as we all made our way to the security control room to check if the inspector could see any undesirable actions and movement on that day.

The detective emerged after 15 minutes of reviewing the surveillance camera tape, during which time nothing unusual was discovered.

"Mr. Adrian, we reviewed the entire footage, but sadly we couldn't find anything fishy or suspicious during the party and also after the guest left. However, I want you to know that we will continue to look into this case and ensure we find the truth; have faith in us and believe we will exact justice in the proper way; we will always get in touch with you if we find any clue, and also please do this same with us, as we are a team."

"I appreciate you, detective," I gave the investigator my sincere thanks and wished him God's blessings as he quickly left with his squad.

Then, right after they left, I received another text message from the same sender that said, "I'm taking you on a hell of a journey, see you soon. It's game on Adrian, and faster your seatbelt." I became tense right away,  my wife immediately noticed it in me and asked what was wrong. I quickly shook it off and refused to tell my wife (Edna) what was happening for fear that she would become frightened after seeing the shit on the bathroom mirror.

I said, "I'm fine, sweetie. I'm just confused with how things have been going recently But I think everything is fine".

After the police had left after conducting their investigation , I immediately put a call through to Lissa but her number was switched off, I tried calling her several times again but all effort prove to be abortive , then I immediately drove to the Hotel Royale to meet up with Lissa. I stormed in and met the same woman at the desk, I asked after Lissa from her but she informed me that Lissa had checked out of the hotel few days back. I Was so angry and irate so  Seeing my visible annoyance and irritation, the front desked lady asked me  what the issue was, to which I replied that I needed to see lissas as it was an emergency, infact a matter of life and death, she then promised to assist me with her new location.only for a price. I asked what she wants, and she answered that she wanted 50 thousand Nigerian naira, i without thinking twice immediately wired the money into her account, just then she reveal to me the new location of Lissa, I thanked her and immediately zoomed off in my car.

I finally arrived at Lissa's location—the address the front desk clerk gave me—after a two-hour drive. It was a lovely bungalow. I knocked on the gate, and the security guard answered. I asked if this was Lissa's apartment, and he (the security guard) said yes. I then asked to see Lissa, and he went inside to let her know I had arrived. However, when he returned to me a short while later he the security guard said she had refused to see me. I on the other hand without thinking twice  punched the security guard in the face, he landed on the ground as he wasn't able to withstand my punch, and I quickly entered the building and made my  way to her apartment.

I entered Lissa's apartment right away and found her sitting on her sofa, watching N*****x while chowing down on some popcorn and drinking a fruit juice next to her. I burst in furiously, smashed her popcorn and juice to the ground, picked her up, and threw her against the wall while placing my hand around her neck as if I were going to strangle her to death.

I roared at her with my eye glowing fiercely, "What kind of dumb and devilish games are you playing with me and my family how dare to have the nerve to do that after everything I said to you the other day at the hotel," but Lissa instead stared at me seductively as if she were enjoying it.

"Oh my God I love the way you choke me baby boy, it's been long I have seen this part of you baby boy I so love this side of you so much,  I wish you can unleash your wrath on me but not like this; I want it on the bed, and I don't mind if we start from the parlor maybe on the sofa you can choke me while you bang me from behind I had give anything to worship your dick every single time and I also don't mind going cowgirl on you baby," she said, showing no concern for the reason I had forcibly entered her space, smashed her popcorn and juice to the ground and pinned her neck to the wall.

You think I came all the way here to play a joke on you? What do you think I'm here for? I yelled as I squeezed her neck even tighter. Once I realized that she was having trouble breathing, I quickly untied her from the wall, backed away a bit, took a deep breath to calm myself down, and then I resumed speaking.

"Lissa, when did you become this way? What transpired following that accident?, You have certainly changed a lot since I last saw you. The Lissa I knew was so kind, loving and selfless she put people before herself,  but unfortunately the Lissa who is currently in front of me has turned into someone who is selfish and self-centered someone who only thinks about herself and nothing else" I said in a more calmed tone.

"Adrian, what do you need from me?" She questioned in a whisper.

" Why did you do it?Why would you even have descended to such low levels to do something that befits a low life?"I said

What did I just do? She asked with a naive expression.

I became more adamant and added, "Come don't be silly with me, like I said, I didn't come here to joke with you Lissa, so you better start talking immediately."

"See I don't get what you're talking about maybe you be more plain forward and more precise with your words."She responded,

"Come on Lissa the horrible note put on my bathroom mirror and all the useless and weird sms You're sending to my phone lately come on," to which i answered

Lissa had a scornful expression on her face "First of all, I didn't write anything on your bathroom mirror, and come to think of it,  how am I even supposed to enter your house, let alone get into your own bedroom? After all, this is your home we are talking and also your  residence, not a public space or a hotel where guests can enter at will. Second of all, I no longer have your contact information because I misplaced my phone, so how on earth am I supposed to send a creepy message to your number like you claim to have Adrian.Yes, my Stan is still that if I don't have you, no one else can because I can't give up too easy; hence, I believe you have a lot of enemies that want you down, so please Adrian I am absolutely innocent of everything you're accusing me of doing and I can even get you arrested for invasion of property and attempted murder ,but I really don't need to do that, please just don't do this again and again please work on your anger" she said as she parked everything I destroyed, and then I immediately left Lissa's apartment in disappointment and embarrassment.

The Phone Call That Changed EverythingTwo days after Adrian and Edna's reconciliation, life felt a little lighter. They had begun rebuilding their bond, although some cracks still remained. For Adrian, loving Edna now felt like a new promise—one he was determined to uphold. They spent most of those days together, reconnecting, working through their lingering misunderstandings, and imagining the life they wanted to create. Just when things seemed like they were finally heading in the right direction, Adrian’s phone rang, and the name on the screen froze him in place. It was Lissa.Adrian hesitated. He knew ignoring the call would not make the situation go away, so after a brief internal debate, he picked up. “Hello?” he said cautiously, unsure of what to expect.Lissa’s voice was sharp, demanding answers the moment she began speaking. “Adrian! Why haven’t you reached out to me?” she snapped. Her frustration was palpable. “It’s been three days since we talked at the restaurant, and you

  • THIS THING CALLED LOVE   CHAPTER 32

Edna's heart raced as she left the grocery store, her footsteps quick and deliberate, each one landing harder than the last. Her mind was spinning, her emotions pulling her in every direction at once. She couldn’t believe what had just happened—what Donald, her ex, had revealed. Her body felt heavy, and her chest tightened with an overwhelming mix of anger, sadness, and confusion. As she made it to her car, her hand shook slightly when she reached for the door handle. Inside the car, she closed the door and leaned her head back against the seat, her breath ragged and uneven. For a long five minutes, she sat there in silence, gripping the steering wheel as if it could anchor her back to reality. Her thoughts were chaotic, filled with hurt and betrayal. How could Adrian keep this from her? How long had he been hiding this? And why was Donald, of all people, the one to reveal such a painful truth to her?Her mind flashed back to the grocery store, Donald’s smug expression as he casually

  • THIS THING CALLED LOVE   CHAPTER 31

On a bright and beautiful Saturday morning, three days after breaking the news of her pregnancy to Adrian, Edna decided to head to the store to pick up some groceries and provisions for the house. The air was crisp and fresh, and she found herself feeling more at ease than she had in a long time. Her marriage, despite its rocky beginnings, had finally settled into something warm and loving. Adrian, the man she once agreed to marry with little expectation of long-term commitment, had now become the center of her world. This new chapter of her life, coupled with the news of her pregnancy, felt like the start of something truly profound. As Edna pulled into the parking lot of the grocery store, she couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Adrian’s reaction to her pregnancy announcement just a few days prior. He had been surprised, of course, but overjoyed. His eyes sparkled with excitement, and he embraced her, kissing her softly and promising that they would face this new adventure tog

  • THIS THING CALLED LOVE   CHAPTER 30

Adrian drove through the quiet streets, his mind still whirling from his heart-to-heart conversation with Josh. The late-night air was cool, and the empty roads offered little distraction from the thoughts that swirled within him. Josh’s words had been reasonable, grounded, and full of the logical clarity Adrian needed. For the first time in days, he felt some semblance of calm. His earlier anxiety, the tight knot of fear and uncertainty that had taken residence in his chest, had loosened. He could breathe easier now.Pulling into his driveway, Adrian glanced at the dashboard. It was already past 10 o’clock in the evening. The lights in the house glowed warmly, casting a comforting yellow hue over the porch. The sight of his home was usually a relief after a long day, but tonight it only intensified his internal conflict. His conversation with Josh had helped him process the reality of Lissa’s pregnancy, but it didn’t solve the problem he now faced—telling Edna. Lissa’s pregnancy was
