Hunter walked into his house with big, hurried steps. His steely jawline twitches as he discovers his home still remains the mess left by Ezra and his men. There was blood everywhere, splattered among the corpses strewn on the floor. Glass and broken things everywhere. They had attacked his entire house when none of his family was home to protect Mila. His hands were currently tightly clenched under his suit, ready to beat up all of his men who were incompetent in guarding Mila.

He stepped into the living room of his house and saw several of his men still tied together with their mouths covered with duct tape. Ezra apparently still left some of his men to be witnesses of all the atrocities he had just committed at his house.

With anger already at the top of his head, Hunter roughly pulled the shirt collar of one of his men who was having bad luck today, then he immediately beat the poor man mercilessly until the sound of bones breaking repeatedly sounded in his ears. But he didn't care at all. To hell with that guy's condition. He deserved to be beaten for his stupidity. After all, his life had been insured ever since he decided to join one of his crew and become part of his payroll.

Hunter didn't stop at all until the seconds had passed into minutes. No one dared prevent Hunter from beating the poor man, Turner. With luck, Turner might still see the sun rise tomorrow morning. If not, yeah... tomorrow he won't be here anymore.

“You are all complete idiots! What have you been doing all this time? Why did Ezra Carlos come into my house and take Mila away!” shouted Hunter angrily at all his men.

All the men just stood there without daring to look at Hunter. One of the men who was the leader of the bodyguards came forward to explain all the chronology.

“I'm sorry sir, they drugged us all with sleeping gas so we were unconscious for a few hours, and when we opened our eyes we were tied up like this. But some of us who were guarding the outpost were shot dead.”

Hunter furiously punched the poor man in the jaw causing his head to jerk back. The man fell to his knees on the cold floor and groaned in pain from the blow he received to his jaw which was starting to turn blue.

“Wake up damn it! You must accept your punishment."

"Forgive us, sir."

Hunter grabbed the man's shirt collar roughly, hitting the man's face once more blindly. Fresh blood flowed from his nose, lips and mouth, staining the marble floor below, creating a map of contrasting colors. The man looks like he's about to die. Hunter didn't care at all if the man died in the end. He was not at all satisfied with beating the man to death because no matter how much energy he put into beating the man, Mila would not come back. He's been kidnapped, even slept by that bastard man.

“You think your sorry word can bring Mila back, huh? I paid you dearly to keep Mila in this house. Now you have to find Mila and bring her back to me. Kill that damn Ezra Carlos. I want to see him die and rot in hell!” Hunter shouted loudly in front of his men's battered faces.

Everyone shuddered at Hunter's anger. Some of them started to pray that they wouldn't get punched hard by Hunter. Smith, their leader, had just been thrown to the floor in a battered state. Their faces tensed up, waiting for what Hunter would do next.

“Quickly find Mila! What are you waiting for here, dammit!”

They rushed out of the living room to hunt down Ezra Carlo.

“Would Ezra Carlos kill Ms. Milla?" asked Nick suddenly.

Hunter turned his body to his assistant while folding his arms in front of his chest. Honestly he didn't know what would happen to Mila now. But according to him, Ezra Carlos really wanted to take revenge on his family because his father and mother had killed his parents ten years ago.

“I don't know, but chances are Ezra won't kill Mila because Mila is the key to the Kohen James’s wealth. The attorney in charge of all of the Kohen’s wealth would not give it to Ezra if Mila died. And Mila's kidnapping this time will definitely have a bad impact on my father and mother because they are very ambitious to control the property of Kohen James. Whereas I actually have absolutely no interest in the entire Kohen’s wealth. I'm more attracted to Mila because I love her. She was the first woman who managed to make me look like a stupid man who didn't dare come home because I was afraid I would hurt her.”

Being the sole heir of Louise's family is really difficult. Since childhood, Hunter has been educated to fulfill every ambition his parents wanted, so that Hunter has never had the opportunity to choose his own path in life. He was restrained. He is like a pet that must follow every wish of its master.

However, there was only one order that made Hunter truly happy when his parents ordered it to him, to marry Mila. They have planned their wedding with Mila next year so that Kohen James' property will fall into his hands easily because he will be Mila's husband.

But now the situation is not the same anymore. A man whose existence they were never aware of suddenly appears to tear apart his entire family.

"Damn you Ezra Carlos, you will definitely die by my hands," Hunter muttered determinedly.

Her curled eyelashes moved slowly as her consciousness slowly began to come back to control her. A very dense foreign atmosphere greeted Mila when she finally opened her eyes fully with wrinkles slowly forming on her forehead. She doesn't know where she is now. The room was unfamiliar to her and she lay alone in bed.

“Shit! What has that man done to me?”

Mila tried to exhale slowly from her mouth after with great effort, managing the panic that was currently engulfing her. Her eyeballs darted right and left, seeing that the room had a few objects, but no humans besides her. There is a wardrobe in the right corner by the bathroom door. A thick carpet under her bed. And a window with light gray curtains that moved slowly in the wind. The room is quite normal and comfortable. It's just that Mila can't be normal for now. The image of Ezra raping her never left her head and kept sending alert signals so that whatever she thought was wrong or odd, she would more easily panic and break out in a cold sweat.

For five minutes Mila finally managed to control her body and also her mind. She managed to breathe slowly, then got up to sit and began to examine her body. After she saw no signs of damage done to her body or signs of abuse that might have happened to her when she was under the influence of drugs, Mila finally worked up the courage to get up from the bed she was currently occupying.

She slowly walked out of the room she was in. Currently she is not tied up and just placed in a large room with masculine shades of brown and gray. Don't know what the man was really thinking. Why did he take her away and not tie her up in the bed at all like yesterday. Then what did that man mean by giving her sleeping pills earlier? She must immediately find the man to ask all the answers to her questions.

"Miss?"

A male servant bowed respectfully to her as she slowly opened the brown door. Mila was a bit surprised, took a few steps back, then looked at the male servant haughtily.

“Where is Ezra Carlos? I want to talk to him."

"Mr. Ezra is in his study."

"Who are you?"

"I'm Felix, a servant who takes care of this house and manages all the needs of Mr. Ezra."

Mila looked at Felix with a cold gaze. She couldn't just trust Felix because he was one of Ezra's men. Felix is young enough to be a servant. He was probably around his early thirties with a fairly stocky build. Mila could see the bulge of the biceps beneath the long-sleeved suit worn by him. So maybe he wasn't just a servant here. He’s one of the bodyguards who also works as a servant, thought Mila gloomily.

"Is there something wrong on my face, Miss?" Felix looked embarrassed as he rubbed his face repeatedly.

"Nope. Just take me to Ezra's room. Now," Mila said firmly.

Felix nodded slowly and made a gesture with his eyes for Mila to follow him.

They walked in silence along the very quiet brown carpeted hallway. The surrounding walls were light gray with dim yellow lights illuminating the entire passageway. Mila tries to find out where she is now, but can't find an answer in her head. She had never been to this house before. And it looks like this house belongs to Ezra. His private house. There were several paintings of men she didn't recognize hanging on the walls. They could have been Ezra's father, his grandfather, his great-grandfathers. They all looked at her with a dim look of horror. Mila unconsciously rubbed the nape of her neck which just shuddered.

"What's wrong, miss?"

Apparently Felix had just turned around and saw her rubbing the nape of her neck in an awkward motion.

"Nothing. Mind your own business," said Mila curtly.

Felix shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and stepped down the steps one by one in front of him. Felix looked back again to tell Mila to be careful because the marble floor tends to be slippery. And Mila doesn't need to be reminded to be careful because she has been very tense and alert. In fact she gripped the railing like she was walking on a thin, fragile rope. Very tense.

"Where am I now?"

"In Mr. Ezra’s house of course," Felix said annoyingly without looking back.

Milla frowned in annoyance. They still had about five steps left before the two of them arrived downstairs.

"I know that, dammit. Give me details. Where exactly am I at now. In which city?"

"Can't say." Felix glanced briefly over his shoulder. “Mr. Ezra will tell you."
