Hunter walked into his house with big, hurried steps. His steely jawline twitches as he discovers his home still remains the mess left by Ezra and his men. There was blood everywhere, splattered among the corpses strewn on the floor. Glass and broken things everywhere. They had attacked his entire house when none of his family was home to protect Mila. His hands were currently tightly clenched under his suit, ready to beat up all of his men who were incompetent in guarding Mila.
He stepped into the living room of his house and saw several of his men still tied together with their mouths covered with duct tape. Ezra apparently still left some of his men to be witnesses of all the atrocities he had just committed at his house.
With anger already at the top of his head, Hunter roughly pulled the shirt collar of one of his men who was having bad luck today, then he immediately beat the poor man mercilessly until the sound of bones breaking repeatedly sounded in his ears. But he didn't care at all. To hell with that guy's condition. He deserved to be beaten for his stupidity. After all, his life had been insured ever since he decided to join one of his crew and become part of his payroll.
Hunter didn't stop at all until the seconds had passed into minutes. No one dared prevent Hunter from beating the poor man, Turner. With luck, Turner might still see the sun rise tomorrow morning. If not, yeah... tomorrow he won't be here anymore.
“You are all complete idiots! What have you been doing all this time? Why did Ezra Carlos come into my house and take Mila away!” shouted Hunter angrily at all his men.
All the men just stood there without daring to look at Hunter. One of the men who was the leader of the bodyguards came forward to explain all the chronology.
“I'm sorry sir, they drugged us all with sleeping gas so we were unconscious for a few hours, and when we opened our eyes we were tied up like this. But some of us who were guarding the outpost were shot dead.”
Hunter furiously punched the poor man in the jaw causing his head to jerk back. The man fell to his knees on the cold floor and groaned in pain from the blow he received to his jaw which was starting to turn blue.
“Wake up damn it! You must accept your punishment."
"Forgive us, sir."
Hunter grabbed the man's shirt collar roughly, hitting the man's face once more blindly. Fresh blood flowed from his nose, lips and mouth, staining the marble floor below, creating a map of contrasting colors. The man looks like he's about to die. Hunter didn't care at all if the man died in the end. He was not at all satisfied with beating the man to death because no matter how much energy he put into beating the man, Mila would not come back. He's been kidnapped, even slept by that bastard man.
“You think your sorry word can bring Mila back, huh? I paid you dearly to keep Mila in this house. Now you have to find Mila and bring her back to me. Kill that damn Ezra Carlos. I want to see him die and rot in hell!” Hunter shouted loudly in front of his men's battered faces.
Everyone shuddered at Hunter's anger. Some of them started to pray that they wouldn't get punched hard by Hunter. Smith, their leader, had just been thrown to the floor in a battered state. Their faces tensed up, waiting for what Hunter would do next.
“Quickly find Mila! What are you waiting for here, dammit!”
They rushed out of the living room to hunt down Ezra Carlo.
“Would Ezra Carlos kill Ms. Milla?" asked Nick suddenly.
Hunter turned his body to his assistant while folding his arms in front of his chest. Honestly he didn't know what would happen to Mila now. But according to him, Ezra Carlos really wanted to take revenge on his family because his father and mother had killed his parents ten years ago.
“I don't know, but chances are Ezra won't kill Mila because Mila is the key to the Kohen James’s wealth. The attorney in charge of all of the Kohen’s wealth would not give it to Ezra if Mila died. And Mila's kidnapping this time will definitely have a bad impact on my father and mother because they are very ambitious to control the property of Kohen James. Whereas I actually have absolutely no interest in the entire Kohen’s wealth. I'm more attracted to Mila because I love her. She was the first woman who managed to make me look like a stupid man who didn't dare come home because I was afraid I would hurt her.”
Being the sole heir of Louise's family is really difficult. Since childhood, Hunter has been educated to fulfill every ambition his parents wanted, so that Hunter has never had the opportunity to choose his own path in life. He was restrained. He is like a pet that must follow every wish of its master.
However, there was only one order that made Hunter truly happy when his parents ordered it to him, to marry Mila. They have planned their wedding with Mila next year so that Kohen James' property will fall into his hands easily because he will be Mila's husband.
But now the situation is not the same anymore. A man whose existence they were never aware of suddenly appears to tear apart his entire family.
"Damn you Ezra Carlos, you will definitely die by my hands," Hunter muttered determinedly.

Her curled eyelashes moved slowly as her consciousness slowly began to come back to control her. A very dense foreign atmosphere greeted Mila when she finally opened her eyes fully with wrinkles slowly forming on her forehead. She doesn't know where she is now. The room was unfamiliar to her and she lay alone in bed.
“Shit! What has that man done to me?”
Mila tried to exhale slowly from her mouth after with great effort, managing the panic that was currently engulfing her. Her eyeballs darted right and left, seeing that the room had a few objects, but no humans besides her. There is a wardrobe in the right corner by the bathroom door. A thick carpet under her bed. And a window with light gray curtains that moved slowly in the wind. The room is quite normal and comfortable. It's just that Mila can't be normal for now. The image of Ezra raping her never left her head and kept sending alert signals so that whatever she thought was wrong or odd, she would more easily panic and break out in a cold sweat.
For five minutes Mila finally managed to control her body and also her mind. She managed to breathe slowly, then got up to sit and began to examine her body. After she saw no signs of damage done to her body or signs of abuse that might have happened to her when she was under the influence of drugs, Mila finally worked up the courage to get up from the bed she was currently occupying.
She slowly walked out of the room she was in. Currently she is not tied up and just placed in a large room with masculine shades of brown and gray. Don't know what the man was really thinking. Why did he take her away and not tie her up in the bed at all like yesterday. Then what did that man mean by giving her sleeping pills earlier? She must immediately find the man to ask all the answers to her questions.
"Miss?"
A male servant bowed respectfully to her as she slowly opened the brown door. Mila was a bit surprised, took a few steps back, then looked at the male servant haughtily.
“Where is Ezra Carlos? I want to talk to him."
"Mr. Ezra is in his study."
"Who are you?"
"I'm Felix, a servant who takes care of this house and manages all the needs of Mr. Ezra."
Mila looked at Felix with a cold gaze. She couldn't just trust Felix because he was one of Ezra's men. Felix is young enough to be a servant. He was probably around his early thirties with a fairly stocky build. Mila could see the bulge of the biceps beneath the long-sleeved suit worn by him. So maybe he wasn't just a servant here. He’s one of the bodyguards who also works as a servant, thought Mila gloomily.
"Is there something wrong on my face, Miss?" Felix looked embarrassed as he rubbed his face repeatedly.
"Nope. Just take me to Ezra's room. Now," Mila said firmly.
Felix nodded slowly and made a gesture with his eyes for Mila to follow him.
They walked in silence along the very quiet brown carpeted hallway. The surrounding walls were light gray with dim yellow lights illuminating the entire passageway. Mila tries to find out where she is now, but can't find an answer in her head. She had never been to this house before. And it looks like this house belongs to Ezra. His private house. There were several paintings of men she didn't recognize hanging on the walls. They could have been Ezra's father, his grandfather, his great-grandfathers. They all looked at her with a dim look of horror. Mila unconsciously rubbed the nape of her neck which just shuddered.
"What's wrong, miss?"
Apparently Felix had just turned around and saw her rubbing the nape of her neck in an awkward motion.
"Nothing. Mind your own business," said Mila curtly.
Felix shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and stepped down the steps one by one in front of him. Felix looked back again to tell Mila to be careful because the marble floor tends to be slippery. And Mila doesn't need to be reminded to be careful because she has been very tense and alert. In fact she gripped the railing like she was walking on a thin, fragile rope. Very tense.
"Where am I now?"
"In Mr. Ezra’s house of course," Felix said annoyingly without looking back.
Milla frowned in annoyance. They still had about five steps left before the two of them arrived downstairs.
"I know that, dammit. Give me details. Where exactly am I at now. In which city?"
"Can't say." Felix glanced briefly over his shoulder. “Mr. Ezra will tell you."
After they arrived on the first floor, Felix guided Mila to turn right, through a hall leading to a french door on the right that led to another, quieter and dreary hallway. Mila almost felt doubts and wanted to stop following Felix because it seemed that she was just being toyed with by the male servant. But then Felix stopped in front of a brown door and turned to look at her who looked so tense. “Mr. Ezra is inside. Do you need anything else, Miss?” “Erm... I need a drink. Can you take it inside?” Mila feels bad because she had prejudice against Felix. Felix just showed a friendly smile that looked warm. When he smiles his dimples form a hollow in his cheek which makes his face more pleasant to look at. Mila feels at ease around him now that he is proving to be not as evil as she thought. "Okay, I'll bring you a drink after this." Felix leaves. Mila exhaled loudly to get rid of the feeling of fear that was currently infiltrating her heart. However Ezra was a bad man who had r
"It's too cold outside, Miss." The voice was not at all foreign to her. He was the man who had greeted her kindly and had charming dimples. Without turning around Mila asked, "I don't know your full name yet." "Me?" There was an amused note in his voice that Mila managed to catch between the very soothing sound of the wind. But she didn't care if the question sounded strange to the man's ears. “My name is Felix Burlow. You can call me Felix.” "Nice to meet you, Felix." "The pleasure is mine, Miss." Then there was no more conversation between them. Felix just silent, but he did not move the slightest from his place. Mila could feel Felix's presence, his body heat and his steady breathing. "Where are we?" “A place quite far from civilization.” Felix chuckled. This place is very quiet. There is nothing here but trees that look scary because of the lights that only turn on above her head to illuminate the terrace which is only filled with three wooden benches and a small, plain
Mila sat up on her bed anxiously. She had thought through all of Ezra's threats and she was starting to worry about Jonas. What if her boyfriend gets dragged into this? Mila wrung her palms in her lap and began to feel the frustration that was choking her neck. This is all her fault. She should have anticipated this sooner if she didn't play around too much and think that the princess's life would be hers forever. "Whoa, idiot!" Mila chuckled sarcastically to herself. How stupid she was for never thinking that what Louises was doing was fake. Edward had been good enough, but she was sure that his attitude was not that of a father who loves his daughter. She remembered how Edward had reacted when she had performed with her band in a theater ten years ago. Edward wasn't the least bit enthusiastic. Edward only lightly stroked the top of her head and congratulated her in an even tone. Meanwhile, the woman who she thought was her mother, just smiled briefly and walked away without saying
Mila opened her eyes and found herself lying alone in her dark and silent room. The voices of the night animals shouted to each other outside, singing heart-wrenching night serenades. Mila repeatedly breathed heavily, hoping that none of this was real and she never heard Ezra Carlos apologize to her.But damn it's all real. The sight of her messy bed is clear evidence that what she experienced a few hours ago was not just a bad dream that would fade from her memory over time. A few hours ago Ezra actually came into her room and almost raped her again. But don't know what made Ezra decide to back down and instead apologize to her. Mila felt it was really bad. Maybe Ezra was trying to get her sympathy and waiting for her to let her guard down so he could attack her again or fuck her.Mila slowly got up from her bed. She walked with unsteady steps towards the bathroom to wash her very messy face. Eyes red and puffy, nose red, hair very matted like straw. Mila could barely recognize herse
The alarm in his head went off. He opened his eyes, then sat on the edge of the bed to stretch his muscles that were stiff after waking up. The clock above the nightstand still shows a few minutes to five. He could always wake himself up with the alarm he had set inside his head.Ezra made his way to the bathroom. He washed his face and wiped it with a towel. After that he walked to the window, observing the sight of the forest which was still dark with flocks of birds that had just flown noisily flapping their wings. They flew from the point where he had set traps for the deer. He was sure that today he had caught a stunning catch.Five minutes later Ezra came out of his room with a parka jacket wrapped around him and a black hat. He carried a hunting rifle in his right hand. On the stairs Ezra met Felix who had just left the kitchen."You're going hunting?"“I'm going to take a look at the trap I set yesterday. Looks like we got a good hunt.” Ezra grinned widely."Deer? We still hav
"I want the rest of my payment sent as soon as possible.""Don't worry. You know for sure that I never let you down, Carlos.”Ezra lit the gold codfish lighter and lit the cigarette that was sandwiched between his lips. One hand holding the phone to his ear, listening to a series of nonsense said by his client on the other side."I know. But other than that I need you to give me an update on Hunter and Louise.”“What attracted you to them? Will they be your next client? Or your new target?”"None of your business. Just tell me what they're doing. Weren't you involved in some projects with him?”The strong wind had just blown Ezra's hair and the tail of the leather jacket he was wearing. He was standing on top of one of the skyscrapers in Chicago with an amazing night view landscape. Unfortunately he did not come to that place to enjoy the beauty of the Chicago city at night. He came there to complete an order from his Client.“So far they have been a fairly fair business partner. It's
Mila snorted inwardly and tightened her jaw tightly when Ezra— for the umpteenth time, repeated his words firmly and full of threats in front of her wide campus grounds.“There's no way to escape. You understand? When you try to escape, the video will spread throughout the campus. All the careers you have dreamed of will be gone in an instant.”"I know. You don't have to repeat it in front of me until I'm fed up.”“That is indeed my goal. Make my message sink perfectly into your brain and you will always remember.""I remember. In fact it's so clear in my brain and it keeps echoing in there like a broken record.”Ezra didn't respond to that and instead discussed other things."Don't even think about asking your lover for help.""He's not my lover anymore." Mila said bitterly. " I will end our relationship today.""Good. It is better for you not to have anything to do with anyone until this revenge plan is over.”"That's your business and not mine. You dragged me into your damn revenge
Mila slowly walked out of her room. Inside her fist was an SOS message asking her parents to come help her. She was trying not to attract anyone's attention as she walked out of her room and heard Ezra's voice in the hall, talking to someone. Mila peeked from behind the stair railing and found Ezra talking to someone. Meanwhile the rest of his men were busy playing on their cell phones or standing like statues by the door. There was no one on guard on the second floor.Mila quickly walked to her parents' room which was always locked. She bent her back and slid the crumpled paper in her hand into the gap between the door and the floor. Then Mila quickly left her parents' room before Ezra's men saw her and suspected her of something. That morning image of her slipping a piece of SOS paper haunted Mila. Day by day she was more and more convinced that no one would come to save her. Even Hunter didn't care about him and only wanted the treasure that belonged to Kohen James."Have you finis
