Avita resolved to put this subject aside for the time being, but there was no way she could forgive Lucilla for what she had done to her back then. At least, not yet.
"I'm not going to do anything silly. Believe me. So, could you please accompany me?"
Avita gazed at Lucilla once again and immediately regretted it, saying, "Fine, I'll go with you, but you better compensate me for my loss."
It was meaningless for her to reject because the other was already here. The least she can do is con the other for some Dryni and steal from Lucilla, the wealthy girl.
"Don't worry," Lucilla replied gleefully as she continued driving as soon as the traffic lights turned green, “I will reimburse every penny and transfer even more. I truly mean it, and nothing like that will ever happen again."
"That had better be true. If you prank me again, believe me, I will do everything in my power to retaliate. Just because your father is a billionaire doesn't imply that I, who don't have money or parents, am a slacker!"
Hearing Avita's firmness in her voice, Lucilla was once again impressed. She had known Avita was tenacious from the beginning, and it was due to this that she despised the other so much and ended up doing something she regrets to this day.
Luckily, she got enlightened and was now walking on the right path.
"Don't worry; I've already learned my lesson."
"So, when are we leaving?" Avita was curious about this because she had agreed.
"How about tomorrow? If your partner has no arrangements, he is welcome to join us!"
"When I get home, I'll confirm with him."
"All right, that's OK. You don't need to bring anything; we'll go shopping before we depart. Also, prepare your passport!"
Avita was surprised and perplexed when she heard this demand, "Just where are we going?"
"Hehe, it's a secret, but trust me, you will love the place, trust me."
Since the other was saying this, Avita decided to give Lucilla another chance. After all, she wasn't spending any money and was being compensated at the same time.
Lucilla talked passionately the entire time she drove Avita to her area. Although Lucilla disliked the poor neighborhood, she had to keep her face to Avita, so she said nothing. This was still the place that her potential friend was staying, after all.
"Just let me know what Patrick decides later so I can finalize the details," Lucilla remined Avita after bringing her to her place.
Avita nodded, holding the plastic bags in her hands, "sure, I will do so."
Avita then carried her belongings and headed into the apartment complex where she was staying. It wasn't the best place, but it gave the security and solitude that she and her partner required. It was not like staying in multi-residential housing, where they could share the entire house with other tenants and share a toilet and bathroom.
"You're back soon today!" exclaimed a kind lady upon seeing Avita.
Avita smiled at the cheerful woman who was nice to practically everyone and replied, "Yes, it's the long weekend, so we knocked off early."
"Well, that's good. Have a good time!"
"You, too." Avita exchanged hello with other tenants who lived in the complex.
She had lived in this complex for nearly a year and was well acquainted with some of the inhabitants. The apartment complex consists of six three-story apartment blocks. There are two blocks with one-bedroom flats and four blocks with two-bedroom units. The apartment building, she was staying in now has three apartments on each floor, with her and her partner living on the second floor and in the middle apartment.
This apartment with one bedroom, a shared toilet and bathroom, a shared kitchen and dining room, a living room, and a balcony cost OWD 1,500 excluding utilities. It was actually cheaper than other places, which is why she didn't leave despite the odd security measures, as there are occasions when burglars will break in, creating a lot of worry and loss.
It was a nice place to stay and save for the future because it was large enough for two people. The renters only needed to install extra locks to make them feel more secure than when the door only had one lock. Avita carried her plastic bags through the apartment and into the bedroom, where she placed them in the basket that holds her hair items.
She then spent the majority of her time washing dishes and cleaning the apartment until it was spotless. With all of her work completed, she began to prepare for dinner because the clock was ticking and her lover Patrick would be arriving shortly.
Avita is quite fond of and enjoys cooking. In her leisure time, she would search for recipes, learn them, and then cook them for her loved ones. And her circle of loved ones was small, consisting of Patrick, her boyfriend, and her friends.
Because she was leaving the next day with Lucilla, she decided to make something she hadn't made in a long time for this special night: chicken stew, rice, and fried plantains.
As she enjoyed the process of bringing the aromatic food to life, outside her apartment life was still going on. A little Honda Fit parked in an empty car lot in front of Block B for single apartments at her apartment complex.
Despite having a little car, the driver seemed content with his situation. Cars like the one he was driving didn't cost much for the wealthy. It was roughly OWD 40,000, and the majority of them were used or second-hand autos. These vehicles were also imported.
Buying a domestic car was expensive, therefore buying these was for the best, and because they were so cheap, those who could afford them did.
Before mounting the steps to the second story, the young man exited his car and collected a briefcase, a box, and a plastic bag from SPAR. He was busy whistling a song on the way, and anyone could see he was in a good mood. He smiled as he reached the second story and was struck by an intoxicating aromatic scent he hadn't smelled in a long time.
"It appears that bae is in a good mood today!"
He considered himself to be one of the most fortunate individuals in the world since he had a virtuous girlfriend who not only cooked and prepared his meals but also did his laundry without complaint. He didn't have much, but he was saving it. And it was all for their future.
He planned to sweep his lover off her feet and give her a lavish wedding one day. He wasn't going to allow Tom or Dick to take away this great woman from him.
NEVER!
Other people betrayed their masters, and as long as they did not betray Vaquesha, they received their rewards as well. Peter, Miguel’s secretary and the man he trusted the most, was one of those people. When Miguel retired, Peter followed suit and retreated into solitude, spending the money he received and being surrounded by his loved ones.Something he could not have done if he had kept working for Miguel when he was dying.Miguel, who was only concerned with his work, had no idea that Peter, the man who served him 24 hours a day, was dying, and it was Miguel’s callous attitude that drove Peter to betray him and begin working with Vaquesha, who promised him a longer life.Everyone is greedy, and Miguel is the most aware of this.Vaquesha appeared in front of Arnold a few years ago and warmed him up, imprinting herself on him so that he would never forget him. This was done so that she might use Lucilla or Arnold as a cover in the future. She, on the other hand, was not going to allow this shift to derail her plans. And, having transformed into what she had become, she began calling herself Vaquesha, a name she discovered among the ancient texts she read to improve her talents and herself. She fell in love with the name the moment she saw it, and she felt it now suited her better than any other name. And because she was living alone, she did not care about names, and her harsh parents never gave her one either.Vaquesha did not have a name until she was fourteen years old, and suddenly having a name made her feel like she belonged, which was a wonderful sensation.Vaquesha realized she needed money, connections, and power to exact her retribution. And she had the funds, but she was too young and needed help with this. And this is how she got the idea to build her own organization, which she did when she founded The Prime Order, a secret organization that took over the world in both legal and unlawful methods. And when
She was just eight years old when her godmother and abusive parents died. She had always despised her parents so much that she did not wish them good. Despite her hatred for those people, she never considered killing or harming them.Even though they beat her, abused her, refused to feed her when she was hungry, and forced her to work all the time, she yearned for them to love her, look at her affectionately, and hug her.She was not a fool, despite her lack of socialization as a child. She could tell what should and should not be done. She simply wanted them to adore her, but they never offered her the opportunity. She ran away from home hoping for a brighter future, and that future was something her godmother could provide for her.She did not know how her godmother and parents met, but she was glad they did because she got to meet someone who made her feel that living was better than dying.Unfortunately, the day she thought she would be saved turned out to be her apocalypse. To sa
‘What is she up to? Is she still alive and well? Do I deserve all this?’These questions have stayed with him since that night. He feels like a coward whenever he remembers how sad and heartbroken, she looked and sounded that night. He had always taken pride in being a strong man and a hero. He saw himself as a man who could do anything he set his mind to.And yet, in only one month, he was rendered useless and helpless, all at the hands of people he knew nothing about.Miguel had always known he was selfish, and he did not care about others as long as it benefited him.He did not expressly commit murder or other horrific crimes to get to where he was, and he was not a saint, either. This is why, when he cheated on his wife and neglected her feelings for him during their marriage, it never disturbed him.But everything changed the night he saw her for the last time. She had made so many sacrifices for him and his family, and yet he just let her go without fighting for her.He recalls
Did she come to regret it? Yes, she is sorry, and it hurts like hell. She felt as if she were being punished for all of the wrongdoings and crimes she committed throughout her life. She attempted to forget the vision every single second after seeing it, but she failed horribly.Even the way she looked at her spouse had changed. How could she bear looking at him with the same affection she had before?Felicia had never been concerned by the fact that he had just returned from one of his mistresses. She would continue to appear personal and virtuous since she was convinced that one day, she would be free of them all.Even after discovering that Avita had cheated on her husband behind her back, she felt sorry for her. However, her attitude toward her husband was about to alter. She was never going to trust him again, but her attitude changed as Avita transformed into someone she had never expected. That is when her horror began.Felicia felt as if she were a joke. She felt like a joke when she awoke and saw she was still alive. She had no idea how it had gotten to this point. She was born and raised proudly, and yet she found herself in such a terrible position that she just wanted to die. After surviving this ordeal, Lucilla could not help but chastise herself for being selfish, foolish, and, above all, a poor judge of character.Everything began when she set her sights on Takunda, a man she met when she brought Avita to check on her house in the Twin Towers.Takunda was someone she had fallen in love with at first sight. She took it upon herself to discover everything she could about him, and she was certainly impressed. One thing she liked about him was how honest he was at times, and how he made it clear that he was not interested in her, which stung at the moment but she learned to take it quietly. After all, there was no criminal in secretly loving someone even if the sentiments were not reciprocated.Everything should have been perfect,
