CHAPTER 13

The next morning, Lex was in Leo’s school uniform sitting in the living room and ready for school, Nancy was having her breakfast, waiting for Kaleb who mostly drove her to work even though she had her own car.

Kaleb came in just as Nancy was finishing her meal. They exchanged greetings but Lex looked at him passively without saying a word.

Was this the man his mommy wanted to replace his incredible daddy? Never, it was not going to happen. After their encounter with Kaleb and their mom, Leo had told him everything about Kaleb especially how his mother and Kaleb wanted him to see Kaleb as his dad.

“Manners, Leo,” Nancy chided him, seeing he didn’t greet Kaleb yet.

“Good morning, Mr. K,” he half grumbled his words but he was careful to address Kaleb the same way Leo did.

“How are you, big boy?” Kaleb flashed his bright killer smile.

Lex ignored him and turned back to the kids folklore book he was reading.
