Why was Lloyd offering money to this person for this truth and why were they texting Kaleb?Nancy glanced at Kaleb with a completely confused look on her face and she stared back at the text.Suddenly she remembered Lloyd’s words from yesterday and Lex’s words today. CHAPTER 27Nancy felt her heart pound with desire as Lloyd’s brown eyes that were hooded with lust peered into hers. She felt an unfamiliar urge in her core as her eyes dipped to his lips. CHAPTER 293 DAYS LATERNancy kept staring at Lloyd on the hospital bed where he laid. He had a bandage across his open chest and a blanket covered his legs, up to his stomach. She noticed the number of scars on his arms, similar to the one on the side of his head. He looked even more handsome as he slept peacefully in his coma. The doctors said he would be fine. The bullet missed any vital organs but he lost a lot of blood and he was lucky he got there in time.She was so lost in thought that she didn’t notice when he opened his eyes until he took off the oxygen mask he had on.Nancy’s eyes widened before she rushed to hug him on the bed where he laid before a teardrop fell from her eye. CHAPTER 30“What’s adult stuff?” A surprised Lloyd asked, seeing how amused Nancy was by the term.“I’ll tell you later,” Nancy replied, waving Lloyd off.“Boys, you shouldn’t run like that,” Emily said as she appeared, catching her breath.“Aunty Emily cannot run,” Lex said as he giggled with Leo following his lead.Emily hissed. These boys were little but they seemed to have very fast legs and they didn’t even look as out of breath as she was.“You’re awake. Thank God,” She said, referring to Lloyd.“It was Emily who actually called the cops,” Nancy said to Lloyd. He knew when the cops came in. It was a few minutes before he passed out but he didn’t know who it was that informed them.“Thank you Emily, I owe you,” Lloyd said, clasping his hands in a prayer gesture.“Well it better be expensive and on four wheels,” Emily said, winking at Lloyd with a cute grin on her lips as she sat on a chair.“Emily,” Nancy chided her as he rolled her eyes. CHAPTER 31It had been a month since Lloyd was shot. Nancy and the boys were finally moving back to Coral city. Lloyd still had to do regular check ups while his broken rib healed but overall he was fit.Diana and Emily were also moving with them. Diana wanted to stay back but Lloyd insisted that she joined them as well.It was a relatively short flight from Brandon to Coral city, about an hour and thirty minutes but it seemed like forever to Nancy.Memories of the place she had left behind years ago came running back to her mind.
