Her lower lip shivered uncontrollably as tears start to pool in her eyes with each quiet breath she manage to take. One unavoidable blink of the eyes and it began to trickle down her already wet cheeks like a waterfall,over and over again, clouding her already blurred vision like rain on a stormy day.

Beth was simply afraid. She was beyond just being afraid. She also dreaded the second she would feel the impact of that sharp blade across her neck and putting an end to her very existence.

Strong as she might pretend to be. She was still afraid of dying, of the cold unknown. Fear of the inevitable has finally taken hold of her heart and it was causing it to race like an untamed stallion, wild and nearly exploding within her chest.

The initial plan was to hold it together till the end. To show those group of animals condemning her to death that, she was not afraid and to die with her head held high but easily said than done.
