Chapter 4: Rage and Desire Intertwined

The heavy rain started to pour, drowning everything in its way. The palace was remarkably silent that night; the reason was simple: it was the first royal night of the king and queen together.

Alaric was liquoring up with sake.

He was thinking of what would happen that night.

The newly-wedded royals needed to perform that act because the high priest would check the blood the next day. It was a way to verify the purity of the newly-crowned queen.

There was no escape.

He sighed heavily at the thought of doing that with another woman aside from Jestina.

“How could I do that without love?” he asked himself.

“Her Majesty, the queen has arrived,” the messenger exclaimed.

Alaric’s heart started to throb.

The queen appeared in front of him. She was wearing a white satin dress with her hair tied in a messy bun, nevertheless beautiful.

Her eyes were cold-blooded.

She didn’t even have an ounce of emotion on her face.

“An awkward night was about to begin.” Alaric thought.

He then drank his cup of sake, trying to intoxicate himself.

The woman, on the other hand, went to bed and quietly sat.

He was about to continue his drinking when the light went down.

“What happened?” Confused, he unintentionally asked her.

“They are trying to alter the mood,” the woman answered. Her voice was emotionless.

He couldn’t even grasp her feelings.

She then stood up and lit the candle on the table.

Alaric took a glimpse at the woman and saw her gleaming.

He slapped his face slightly.

“Am I drunk?” he asked himself.

He seemed to be hallucinating.

The woman was about to return to where she was sitting when he held her wrist. “I hate you with all of my existence,” he said, looking at her.

Alaric saw her lips open slightly.

Seeing her like that, he knew he could not stop himself.

There was no turning back.

“I said I hate you,” he told her while disentangling her white satin dress.

Her voluptuous figure emerged from behind it.

“Despise me,” he whispered close to her ear so she could hear it clearly, despite the raging storm outside.

The chamber was dimly lit, with only candlelight giving them an illumination, but in that instance, her skin was perfectly glimmering.

His eyes were feasting on her body, driving him crazy. “I said, despise me,” he murmured once more.

               “I hate you.”

Those words came out from the queen’s plump, rosy lips. Her eyes were still icy.

Alaric smirked, “It is settled then.”

He continued to get rid of her dress.

“This is an act without love. It would hurt,” he said, pulling her so close as if it was a sin to have even an inch of a gap.

“There should be something between us to perform this act, and yes, it’s hatred.” He nibbled her ears, then turned his attention to her two pinnacles, putting one in his mouth and playing with the other with his forefinger.

He heard her moans, which gave him a boost to fondle her peaks roughly.

Alaric then climbed down at her body. Reaching her legs, he bit them firmly. He felt that the woman was faintly resisting, but he gave her no chance, overwhelming her with his strength.

               “Don’t resist,” he warned her.

Alaric lay down beside her and then proceeded to move his hands on every corner of her body, tracing every curve, every contour of it, all while biting her earlobe.

His hand finally reached her depth, moving his finger against it as if he were strumming a musical instrument.

The woman beside him then trembled.

“Not there,” she whispered.

He looked at her and saw that she was closing her eyes.

“Open your eyes,” he told her.

She opened her lids, and her hazel eyes emerged from them.

He stared at her, not blinking.

He wanted to see all of her reactions while he was fiddling with her nakedness.

The woman hid her face in his chest. There were imprints of her fingernails emblazoned on his shoulder.

Alaric then noticed that the woman was suppressing her tiny voice.

“Beautiful,” he unconsciously whispered to himself.

He was unsure what he was doing at that moment or whether he was bothered by it.

He then unraveled her legs and ascended on top of her.

Alaric gathered energy and began to thrust himself into her slowly.

He grasped a warmth that he had never felt before.

 It was ecstasy.

It was surreal.

He was getting drunk from the sensation.

He was moving faster and faster.

“Please stop; I’m going crazy!” the woman cried, her eyes gleaming.

Alaric covered her lips. “There’s no stopping now. Our sanity was both trapped in this system,” he said while panting.

He couldn’t stop pressing himself against her. He gripped her legs until he reached his highest point.

He fell at the top of the woman while still lingering inside her. He was too exhausted to pull apart their bodies, which had become one.

The rain had stopped, and the sun was unexpectedly shining that day.

Alaric opened his eyes, and the sunlight from the window greeted his face.

He extended his hand to the space beside him when he perceived that the woman was no longer there.

“Your majesty, the queen has left earlier,” Danko informed him, who was standing beside his bed.

Alaric didn’t know why he felt down inside. “I see,” he just said. “Is the preparation for our travel all ready?” He asked to sway the emotion he just felt that bit.

“It’s all set, your majesty,” his servant answered.

               Alaric nodded.

The day he planned to execute his plans of meeting the man who could help him get rid of Reginald Eliphas had come.

The night sky was slowly devouring the blue-painted sky.

Alaric and his men were more than ready to begin their so-called expedition.

Riding his horse, Alaric looked around the palace once more before the gate opened.

How despicable. “She didn’t even show her face to send off her husband,” he whispered.

“The gates are opened!” the messenger announced.

The people watching the king’s departure were all cheering loudly for his safe journey.

Alaric and his men started to move towards their journey worth of years.

******

Behind the cheering crowd, the Queen was slightly hiding, watching the king and his men’s departure.

“I will pray for your safety, your majesty,” she whispered.
