Chapter Thirty-Four: The Face-Off

Back in Via's hospital room.

"I'm just so glad you didn't leave Via all alone, Serena. We don't know what else can happen to her if you're not there." Don Rafael said.

Serena gently clasped her father's hand to make him feel that everything's okay.

"Via is fine now, Daddy. She's safe." Serena comforted her father.

"Your sister looks so frail and vulnerable, Serena. It really breaks my heart to see her like this." the old man spoke again.

Serena suddenly remembers something.

"Do you still remember the day when you first introduced me to Via? She also had the same appearance. Innocent, frail and vulnerable. But deep inside, she's a very strong woman, Daddy. I am confident that she will recover from all of this and comes back stronger than before." Serena tries to reassure her father.

Don Rafael sighs in return.

"I want nothing but the best for you,girls."

"We'll be okay, Daddy. It's morning already and you haven't slept a wink last night. It would be better if you go home and rest." Se
