The house was huge, and the room Rafe assigned me was also huge.

The soft mattress seemed to slowly swallow up my body, completely immersing me in the dream world I was looking forward to.

I turned my gaze back to the dark hallway, and with it darkness enveloped me, making me feel like I was sinking into nothingness. But the next second everything returned to normal.

I noticed a large green space and beautiful meadows. The blue sky is filled with slow moving clouds.

"What's happening? I sense something unusual."  I looked down at my hands, as if nothing strange had happened.

"This scent?" I was stunned. I remembered that scent very well, the scent of the man I met in my dream earlier. The man who asked me to dance at the nobles' ball.

When I turned around, there he was, the nameless man smiling faintly in the distance.

"Why do you keep your distance? Are you uncomfortable around me?" I half-joked because I knew how it was impossible that the man who had suddenly kissed me still had a sense of shame.

The man approached, this time dressed in black and wearing an unusual hat.

"It's not about discomfort. It's about you drawing closer to me." he said suddenly with that annoyingly flat tone.

"Closer? In what sense?"

I know, won't he come near me now? So why did this man suddenly talk like this?

 "Can you clarify?"

"What I mean is, you've been inadvertently moving closer to my world." he said again which made me just exhale heavily in annoyance.

"What does that mean?"

He didn't answer again, but this time he took my hand and kissed my fingertips. It's weird, it feels weird, but it feels good.

"What are you doing?" I squealed, and as usual my mind tried to fight back but my body accepted the man's actions completely.

"Luna, are you familiar with the werewolf legend?" he asked again and I hesitated between shaking my head and nodding.

I did that as a kid, but who would believe a story like that when you grow up?

"You seem skeptical about the existence of werewolves." the man seemed to guess my thoughts well and I nodded.

"It's natural to doubt. Long ago, many questioned their reality."

"Remember this, though. You need to begin investigating these beings."

"Why?" I wonder.

This guy had only met me twice and already he was giving me homework. Does he behave like a teacher?

"To uncover the truth about me, and perhaps about yourself, this knowledge is key." he said and after that he kissed me again.

The taste I craved, the wetness in our mouths, and my labored breathing. My instinct was to hug him, but he quickly broke the kiss.

"Not yet" he said smiling mysteriously and after that the black mist surrounded me again. I was dragged into that void again and opened my eyes on the big bed in Rafe's house.

"Oh, how frustrating! If it were possible to give someone a piece of my mind in a dream, he'd be the first!" I said while looking at the door of the room where some of my clothes were hanging.

**

I woke up that morning with mixed emotions. The thrill of a dream kiss combines with the intrigue of a werewolf story.

I'm sitting at this big dining table. A dining table the size of a banquet table with the same dimensions. That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I felt like I was on a football field with Rafe on either side of the goal.

"Okay, that's a bit of an overstatement, don't you think?" I whispered to myself.

Raf himself started eating today, steak for breakfast? I don't know, I don't understand how these rich people live.

This steak is apparently enough to pay for my tuition for a semester. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's entirely possible.

"Luna, get ready" Rafe said still bribing.

Get ready? Get ready for what? Get ready for war? This guy was always spouting ambiguous words that sometimes reminded me of that guy in my dreams.

"Getting ready for what?"

"I'm heading to Singapore, and I need you to come with me."he said again still with that indifferent look.

"Why?"

"Someone has to handle my luggage."  he said casually which made me spend a few minutes watching this guy's face and expression.

"Seriously? He wants me just to lug around his bags?" I thought to myself.

I was about to protest again when Rafe suddenly clapped his hands and a butler walked towards us. What surprised me even more was that the man took out some documents and put them in front of me.

Passports, legal documents and even marriage certificates can be provided. This man did it all in one day? What exactly is going on? Does this person really have the power of God?

"Rafe, Sir Rafe..." I sometimes feel the need to call him sir out of respect.

"Drop the formalities, just Rafe is fine." the man looked annoyed and looked at me with those sharp eyes again.

"Alright, Rafe. Sorry to question this, but I have to ask..."

"Is this trip strictly for business, or is there something else?"

I am sure of my intuition, and this time my intuition also told me that this business trip was no ordinary business trip.

"Naturally, it's not just business." said Rafe who I saw a small smile on his lips. Damn it, no matter what this man is planning, it seems that his target is me. Is he still angry because I made him angry yesterday?

We visited my grandmother's grave and found the place unkempt. As Rafe had mentioned, her grave had remained intact, contradicting my belief that it had been torn down due to the surrounding new construction."Luna, come on," Rafe urged, leading me to the cemetery.I grabbed some tools and started clearing the overgrown grass."Why hasn't this cemetery been torn down?" I asked, aware of the ruthless business tactics often employed these days, where even homes are not spared for the sake of profit."The company that owns the adjacent property is having financial difficulties," Rafe informed me.Then he added, "I plan to buy all that land," leaving me stunned."Thank you," I said, realizing that expressing gratitude had become a habit for me. I truly appreciated all that he had done. After tending to the grave, Rafe and I decided to dine at a nearby restaurant. Its simple charm was refreshing, a reminder of how much I missed such unpretentious places.Having spent the past month indulgi

I never thought it would end. The last few months have been really exhausting for me and I'm glad they're finally over."Luna, what are you going to wear?" Rafe asked as he approached me with a group of people behind him. They seemed to be famous fashion designers."What do you think would look good on me?" I replied, bringing out Rafe's playful side."Anything looks good on you, Luna," he flirted, earning nothing more than a playful flick of my tongue in return. Rafe laughed heartily, his demeanor so different from before. He seemed much more alive and approachable now, almost like a new person."Did you hear about Faghri? He's going to run for president," Rafe announced, taking me completely by surprise. Faghri, once notorious for his ruthless ways, had transformed himself into a respectable figure, and now he was eyeing the presidency."Rafe, you're serious, aren't you?" I asked, looking for confirmation in his expression. He nodded solemnly, confirming the surprising news."I'm se

That morning, the shocking news reverberated across all media platforms, sending waves of disbelief around the world. Television programs, newspapers, and online outlets all carried the same headline: "Assassination at the President's Office: President Etas fatally shot by trusted aide". The uniformity of the reports, which all followed the same chronology, was striking, with not a single source challenging the narrative of President Etas' untimely demise. In stark contrast to this grim news, a more personal story was unfolding in an old but grand home. Here, Rafe and Aline were seen in a tender embrace, their affection evident in front of Rafe's parents. The atmosphere was one of familial warmth and impending change."Rafe, have you decided who you are going to marry?" inquired Rafe's father, a hint of expectation in his voice. Rafe's answer was a nod, followed by a frank admission, "Legally, I am married to Luna. But in matters of the heart, not yet." His words revealed a complicate

The presidential palace was eerily quiet that day, a stark contrast to the tightly secured perimeter outside. Inside, however, the atmosphere in the President's private chamber was anything but calm.Aline's father, the President, was visibly seething with rage. His face was contorted with rage, the veins on his neck were pronounced, and his body tensed as if ready to spring into action. The anger inside him had reached a boiling point."Bastards! I'll kill them all," he roared, the words thick with raw emotion. The tragic death of his daughter Aline had devastated him. Ironically, he had denied her Secret Service protection out of respect for her wishes to engage in something illegal, a decision he now bitterly regretted."I swear, everyone involved will pay," he bellowed, his tone dripping with vehemence. In a fit of desperation, he threw a paper across his desk, his demeanor mirroring that of someone lost in a terrifying episode of unbridled madness. At that moment, there was a ten
