Cute

Leo watched her misery with amusement.

"I. It's not like that, President Hamilton" she replied with difficulty.

He raised an amused eyebrow.

"Is it? Then why did you leave the door open?" he inquired.

Ida looked at the open door with a frown. She intentionally left it open. He is right. She is now scared of being in the same room with him. She doesn't remember everything that happened between them the previous night. But the soreness between his legs is telling it all. He left marks all over her body, that will take a few days to heal completely.

Her cheeks turned pink at the remainder of what happened between them. She prayed that he wouldn't notice how much he was affecting her.

He didn't miss the blush and he found it cute. She is cute, smart and interesting. He liked that combination very much. A rare but alluring combination.

She is saved from replying to his question when Claire and Kevin walk inside the room. Her face turned bitter and she made it a point to ignore them.

Leo didn't miss how Claire was glaring at Ida and Kevin was looking at her with longing. For some reason, Leo didn't like Kevin's eyes on Ida. So he stood up from his chair and approached his nephew. Cleverly he stood at such an angle, that Ida was blocked from their view.

Ida didn't miss what he was doing. She did not understand if he did it intentionally or not, but she was still grateful for the small reprieve.

"Uncle, do you want to talk to us about something?" Kevin asked.

Leo's face is blank, not revealing anything.

"She is not the woman whom you were dating for the last two years. Where is your Ex now? And why is this woman replacing her?" he asked calmly.

Ida became stiff. She doesn't know how much he knows, but she has this feeling that her new boss might know more than he is letting out. She is worried that he might also know that she is his nephews Ex. If that's the case, she is worried what he must be thinking about her. Especially after last night.

Kevin is scared, while Claire is worried. Both of them exchanged worried glances. Leo is blocking their view, if not, Claire would have glared daggers at Ida.

"She cheated on Kevin. He caught her in bed with someone a few months ago. Kevin is so good that he blindly trusts her. But she misused his trust and slept around" Claire lied through her teeth.

Ida is pained by the allegation. Her initial shock wore off from the moment she discovered that Kevin was cheating on her with Claire. But her pain refused to leave. She never thought Claire would do something like this. Her betrayal cuts deeper than Kevin's cheating. Strangely, she is not at all pained with what he did. It's as if their relationship is not as deep as she thought it was. She was forced and begged into a relationship with him by Kevin. She said yes only because she didn't want him to disturb her more than he was already doing.

She is also worried that Leo Hamilton might believe all these lies. After all, she slept with him. She cannot tell him that he is her first in everything. She never ever kissed Kevin, apart from his platonic kisses on her cheek.

Leo raised his eyebrow after listening to the false allegations of Claire. He knows Claire is lying because he saw the video footage and he knows for a fact that Ida was a virgin until last night. He became angry at the blatant lie. But his face is a blank mask, making Claire anxious and worried and keeping her guessing about what he is thinking.

Kevin on the other hand looked guilty.

"Is it? When did you find out about it?" he asked casually. But there is nothing casual about his question. He is forcing Claire to dig her own grave.

Kevin refused to speak and looked at Claire to continue.

"Ahh.. It was a few months ago" Claire lied again.

Leo nodded. His palms are buried in his pockets while he is looking at Claire and Kevin with a calculating look.

Ida is trying to keep her emotions buried. But listening to Claire's lies is hurting more than she could control. And the fear of how her boss would take all of this is scaring her the most.

"Hmm, so you both started dating after he broke up with his girlfriend of two years?" he asked evenly.

Claire moved closer to Kevin and nodded shyly.

Leo nodded thoughtfully.

"Kevin, how did you decide that she is it? If your girlfriend of two years can cheat on you, this one can too. You are not a good judge of character. What are you planning to do if you find out that she is not the one? You've only known her for a few months after all?" Leo asked, blatantly insulting Claire.

Ida misunderstood his words. She starts thinking that Leo thinks that her character is bad, which makes her miserable and helpless. She is stuck in a situation where she cannot make her boss believe that she is not someone who sleeps around with random men. He will never believe her after the last night.

Claire gasped at his implication. She started worrying that he might not approve of her.

"Forgive me Mr. Hamilton, but I am not a loose woman like his Ex. I am dedicated to Kevin and loyal to him. I am carrying his baby after all. What more proof do you want that would show how much I love him?" she asked feigning distress.

Kevin patted her hand softly.

Ida wanted to yell at her and tell her how shameless she is. But she bit her cheek and suppressed her tears. Her eyes burned with suppressed emotions.

Leo's Jaw became hard. He understood why Kevin was marrying this viper. Now, he cannot refuse this marriage. As this lady is carrying the child of the Hamilton family.

"I see, you can go now. I will join you shortly" he said before turning his back on both of them. He fisted his palm and gritted his teeth with anger. He doesn't approve of Claire as the daughter-in-law of the Hamilton family. But she trapped Kevin and even he cannot help his nephew now.

Claire smiled with triumph. While Kevin kept looking at Ida with longing. Claire pulled him out of the room, and he followed after her reluctantly. She closed the door after them.
