I was silently sitting inside the car while Vincenzo was driving with Arianna in the backseat. I gulped at the extreme silence. Vincenzo hasn't spoken a word with Arianna, which makes the situation ten times worse. She was sitting nervously in the backseat while Vincenzo's men were in numerous black SUV's following us.

I glanced at Arianna through the mirror. She gulped, staring outside the window, silently praying for herself, maybe. I wish I could confront her, but my bad I wasn't in the situation to help her out. When Vincenzo and I had that intense session, I wasn't in the condition to stand on my own, so he carried me all the way to the car.

"Vincenzo?"

Arianna finally spoke.

"Shut the fuck up!"

Arianna and I both flinched at his harsh tone of voice and that's when I knew she was doomed. I could only pray for her.

"What the fuck were you thinking when you were going out without fucking guards?"

I clutched my dress when he suddenly sped up the car.

"Vin--"

"How dare you take my wif

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Epilogue!

It took everything in me to convince him.Even now, standing at the entrance of our mansion, I wondered if I had made a mistake.I drew in a shaky breath, my chest tightening as I took in the sight before me. Vincenzo’s men lined one side, Levi’s men the other—guns visible, faces cold, tension thick enough to choke on. The mansion that once felt like home now felt like a battlefield waiting for blood. My pulse spiked.Suddenly, the memories crashed into me—the gunshot, the pain, the darkness swallowing me whole.No. Don’t go there, I told myself desperately.Vincenzo’s grip around my hand tightened, grounding and possessive, like he was anchoring me to this world. His fingers were almost painful now, as if letting go meant losing me forever. Not now.Not ever.I glanced at him and saw it—the barely restrained rage burning in his eyes. My husband looked like a man standing on the edge of slaughter, ready to kill anyone who even thought of taking me away from him.“Finally,” Levi’s voic

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Not so fast!

"You are the best thing that has ever happened in my life."The moment those words left Vincenzo’s lips, something inside my chest shattered and healed all at once."But I didn't get you any gifts."My face dropped."You are the best gift already. You are enough, sweetheart."“I’m so lucky to have you as mine,” he continued, his voice low, sincere—dangerously honest. “Thank you, love, for coming into my life like an angel and filling it with happiness. Even after everything I put you through… every wrong I did to you.”His thumb brushed over my knuckles as if grounding himself.“I promise,” he said firmly, “I will never let your smile fade again. I’ll give you every happiness this world has to offer. I’ll hold you like this and love you until my last breath.”My heart was no longer beating normally.“I love you, Annie,” he whispered. “More than you could ever imagine.”Tears burned my eyes as he tightened his hold on my hand, as if afraid the world might take me away if he loosened hi

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Consuming!

“Vincenzo,” I called his name, with a hint of anger lacing my tone. I could finally speak. I was so glad to have my voice back that I nearly cried. The first words which I let him hear were.... I love you Vinni. He was head over heel to hear it again and made me repeat the whole week.I didn't tell him that they weren't my first words after my recovery, and I was actually practicing it, but he doesn't have to know that it was my surprise.A low chuckle answered me instead. It had been weeks since I was discharged from the hospital, weeks since he brought me back to the mansion and quietly turned my recovery into his religion. He didn’t let me lift a finger—not a glass of water, not a book, not even my own blanket. If I moved, he would be already there. If I wanted something, he anticipated it before I could even think of asking. At first, I argued. Now, I let him.He fed me when I was tired, carried me when my legs ached, kissed my scars like they were sacred symbols etched into my sk

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Dangerously honest!

Elena POV'It’s been two weeks since I woke up.Two weeks since, the darkness loosened its grip on me and allowed light back in—harsh, blinding, real. The first two days were a blur of white ceilings, muted voices, and pain humming through my bones like a warning. It took time for my mind to catch up with my body, to understand that I wasn’t dead… just suspended between what I was and what I had become. The doctor said my body was weak. Healing. Fragile. And then came the worst part.I couldn’t speak. No matter how hard I tried, my throat refused to cooperate, my voice trapped somewhere deep inside me. The doctor said it was normal. That coma patients often take days… weeks… sometimes months to speak again. He said it was a miracle that I woke up to which he received a deadly glare from Vincenzo. I bet he had threatened the old man.I hated that word—months.Because silence made me powerless. And because my husband never left my side.Vincenzo was around me. Always. Like a shadow stit

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Fragile hope!

Night came for him the same way it always did—slow, merciless, and heavy with her absence.Eight and a half months had passed since the bullet tore through Elena and ripped the color out of his world. The doctors called it a coma, a word too clean for what it really was. To Vincenzo, it was a suspended death. A punishment. A waiting room where time mocked him by moving forward while she remained still.By day, he had turned into something colder than before. The city whispered about it. The men under him feared it. Vincenzo spoke only when necessary, each word clipped, surgical, as if language itself was a weakness he could no longer afford. His eyes no longer burned with fire—they were glaciers now. Unfeeling. Untouchable. Anyone who mistook that silence for mercy never made the mistake twice. But night stripped him bare. When the mansion went quiet and the walls stopped pretending she was still there, Vincenzo returned to the bedroom they once shared. Her side of the bed remained un

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Tainted!

Author's POV'Everyone in the meeting room applauded with a satisfied smile after a woman was done presenting the project via projector. She returned the smile."This project is just fabulous!"A man in his mid-forties exclaimed. He was the dealer and was satisfied with the new project and to work with the owner of this company."The idea is great. I would love to work with you, Mr. Vincenzo Romano."The dealer spoke with a smile while Vincenzo, who didn't speak a word or provided his opinion, just nodded his head in approval. Apart from his illegal business in the undercover world. Vincenzo had an extremely powerful influence in the corporate business world.Mostly to cover up or as a backup."Boss, sorry to interrupt, but may I?"A man in his thirties with dirty blonde hair and fair skin spoke, catching Vincenzo's attention. He was the manager of the company. He was the youngest manager a corporate world had. He was capable enough to earn the position with his skills and talent, whi
