Chapter 16

Chapped lips, trembling eyes and unable to keep her eyes open. Taylor curled into a ball form on her bed, clutching tightly to her aching stomach.

For some reason, she naively believed she could stomach the pain of not eating for more than twenty-four hours.

She glanced at the time and hissed in pain. She still needed to go for another twelve hours to complete the two days.

Taylor's lips were chapped, and her throat was dry, since she hadn't tasted water or anything liquid for more than a day. She was too weak to do so, and Andrew had ordered the maids not to help Taylor with anything. If she wanted something, she should get it herself.

She sighed and closed her eyes, hoping she'd sleep off and wake up in twelve hours. Just then, she heard her door open, then the sound of soft footsteps.

Taylor was too weak to get up and see who it was, so she just laid there.
