Chapter 7

For the next two weeks as Taylor healed from the car accident, her hatred for Andrew kept growing and so did the newfound hatred towards her father, Ava and Elizabeth.

That particular morning, a maid walked behind Taylor as she painstakingly walked to the dining room with her crutches. Beads of perspiration rolled down her forehead, but the maid turned a blind eye to it.

Her job was to make sure Taylor got to the dining room no matter what. Even if Taylor fell in the process, it was none of the maid's business.

Taylor exhaled shakily, gritting her teeth in pain as she finally got to the dining. Andrew was already there, eating.

Hearing her come in, he glanced at his wristwatch and let out a faint smile. A minute before the time he gave her elapsed. She was finally learning.

Taylor saw his smile and swallowed bitterly. She took her seat and picked up the knife with her bandaged hand, while she held the fork in the other.
