Chapter Nine: Transformation Class

Nyx’s POV

“Excuse me.“ I muttered, shrugging past the throng of students who were chattering with their friends in the hallway.

Everyone in Salvador academy seemed to be in some group or pack, while I was just…existing alone. To be honest, I really didn’t mind though, as long as no one bothered me I was okay.

The past week was pretty bearable, and as I walked to class that morning I hoped for the best. The thing with Salvador academy is that you never know what to expect, so you have to keep your fingers crossed most of the time.

I got into class, making myself comfortable in my seat. Only a handful of students had arrived, and a few of them spared me smiles and little waves which I returned.

That was the highest form of interaction I’ve had with other students. A little smile here, a small wave here. No real conversations, but it felt hella good to know that a few people acknowledged my existence.

Frankly, I didn’t care about being popular at Salvador Academy. My plate was full
