"What? He departed yesterday morning?" Megara raised an inquiry with a frown and the woman nodded.

"Yes, He left a note for his aunt and departed. He is a master, something might have come up in his sect." The woman said and Megara faintly nodded before dropping the conversation with the woman. With the help of her bamboo stick, she walked towards the veranda of the house and halted on her steps.

The giggling of children and their little footsteps as they played around while a few old people made old jokes and laughed at them. She heard and sensed it all. Nothing was odd at all.

Is something only wrong with her?

She chewed her already bruised lower lip. A hiss left her lips when she bit her bruised area, quickly letting go of the skin as she licked the bruise, feeling a metallic flavor in her mouth. She has been gnawing on her lower lip ever since she woke up and now it's bruised and bleeding.
