Boss lady.

Anastasia POV:

The past couple of weeks were two hectic. Next month, I am supposed to be inaugurating my brand but there are so many things that are giving me a hard time right now.

"Miss. Logan, the investor has suddenly backed up." Samuel told me.

I was going through the final designs of the jewellery but this piece of information made me stop doing that task and I was forced to look at the man.

"What do you mean by, he has backed up?" A fear started growing inside me and I really hoped that it doesn't mean what I am thinking.

Samuel hesitated for a few seconds and that pause was adding more to my anxiety. "Actually, he is saying that he does not want to invest in the jewellery. It isn't that profitable. After sometime the designs will become out of trend. So, who will buy them?"

''What the hell." I slammed my hands on the table and caused the pitiful man to flinch, "Is he playing some games with me? We did not force him to invest. It was his choice... and it was his decision to invest in the jewellery. How dare he!" Blood was boiling in my veins. I wanted to crack open the skull of that freaking old man.

"I have tried to convince him but I guess someone has offered him better conditions." He added.

I sighed, "What about the compensation?" We have signed a contract. This isn't some child play.

"He is willing to pay the compensation." He answered me. But even with the compensation money, we won't be able to pay all of our bills.

Gold, diamonds, pearls, platinum, silver and all kinds of stones, they are really expensive. Even the cheapest piece of jewellery is worth million dollars.

"Fuck." I muttered under my breath, "That bastard must have lost his mind. Tell him, we are not going to end this with just compensation.  I will sue him and his company." There is no way he can be off the hook with some money.

"But what will we do? The manufacturers are already done with the production. We have to pay them and most importantly, we cannot hold off the inauguration ceremony. People from all over the world have been invited." Samuel started with all the things that are bothering me already.

"Oh God." I placed my palms on the table, ''We have no choice but to look for another investor. We don't have time to waste."

"But that's going to be really difficult. We have only two weeks-"

"That's why I am telling you we don't have time to waste." I gritted my teeth and it caused him to stop blabbing. He nodded before leaving my office while my heart trembled with the fear. All of my hardwork was on the verge of collapsing.

Most importantly, I made a deal with my Dad. I promised him that I will make a name for myself without his help and if I won't be able to do that, I will do what he wants. I will join his boring shipping company and work there as some secretary. 'I can't go to Dad for his help. What should I do?' I suddenly panicked and paced around my office.

Everything has been going way too smoothly and perfectly. I can't believe that at such a crucial moment, I have to face this money problem.

'Pull yourself together, Ana and try to find a way to get out of this mess.' I patted my cheeks and opened my laptop. There are plenty of investors but most of them were not willing to invest at the moment and if they are, they have no interest in jewellery. 'Those nasty asses... they all care about cars or buildings.' I clenched my teeth so hard that my jaws started hurting.

When they day changed into night and when the sky wore a blanket if darkness I have no idea. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and it opened as I gave the visitor permission. As I expected, it was Samuel.

"Did you find anyone?" I instantly asked him.

"Yes, Miss. Anastasia." He was escalated but suddenly the happiness faded from his face and my heart trembled. "Not another bad news please." I pleaded.

"Actually, I have found a company. They are the best in the entire country and with our designs and everything I am pretty sure they will be willing to help us. But the problem is time. I don't think it will be possible for us to gain their trust with huge money in such a short span of time." He shared his concern.

"I know this isn't easy and we are just new in the market. Who knows whether we will make it huge or sink to the bottom of ocean." I bit my nails nervously, "Still it is better to try than regret. Try to arrange a meeting. I will meet their CEO myself."

"But Miss, they are Weavers." The moment Weavers escaped from his mouth, I felt like a bomb has dropped over my head.

"What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Weaver group is the top leading company. They are responsible for 40% GDP of the country and it is the dream of every enterprise to work with them but they only chose to work with the best. All the confidence which I had on my designs, it suddenly went down the drain.

"Even getting an appointment will be hard."

Now I know why he looked happy and concerned at the same time.

"Still try to contact them and tell them about our situation. I am sure they won't be this cold-hearted to turn a blind eye on us." Amidst all that I tried to stay optimistic. This is the only thing I can do at the moment. Otherwise, I am sure, I will lose my sanity. Furthermore, if the Weavers will agree to help us, it will be a jackpot.

"I will contact them the first thing in the morning." Samuel enthusiastically said. I smiled. He is in his mid 30's but he is really good at what he does. That's why Dad gave me his most trustworthy employee to me.

"Thank you, Samuel." I honestly said.

"It's my job." He humbly responded. "I will take you to your place."

"Yeah, it has gotten really late." I immediately tried to wrap up my things and took my coat from the stand. Samuel was already waiting for me in the parking lot.

As soon, as I put my head on the headrest, the fatigue took over my senses so I closed my eyes.

Since, my place is located in the outskirts of the city, it takes a while to arrive there.

I don't know when we arrived at home. So, Samuel informed me. I opened my heavy eyelids and glanced out, just to find a breathtakingly beautiful mansion. Sometimes even I am amazed by it. Although I have been living here for my entire life.

"You worked hard today. Have a good rest." I wished Samuel good night and walked inside the mansion.

The smell of deliciously cooked meal welcomed me. Only then I realized that I haven't eaten anything whole day. My stomach rambled, letting me about about it's existence. For the million time, I sighed.

"Hi there. My beautiful daughter." Mom said and my mood was immediately lifted up. I have grown up with lots of love as I am the only child.

"Hi, Mom." I hugged her and kissed her cheek.

"You look tired today." She see through me.

"Yeah, you know with all the work and stuff." I know, I cannot lie to her. So, I told her half truth.

"Goodnes." She cupped my cheeks, "Why are you working so hard? Whatever we have it is yours. I don't like to see you struggling so much." She was worried.

"I am fine and this is my dream. You know that." I held her hand and squeezed it. Right now all I needed was their support.

"Okay." She did not push this topic further. "Go and freshen up. Your Dad is also home. We will have dinner together."

I nodded rushed to my room. I took a quick shower and went the the dining room. Mom and Dad were already there.

"Dad." I called him and hugged him from behind. He smiled lovingly at me.

"Do you have any problem at work?" He asked me in the middle of the meal and it kinda caught me of guard.

'Does he know about the investor?' Was the first thought that popped into my head. "No, I am doing fine." I gave him a tight lipped smile.

"Okay but if you need my help. Just let me know." He put his fork down, "I know because of our deal you are trying to keep your distance with me but you don't have to. I have decided to support your dream."

He gave me a shock of my life. I speechlessly looked at him. "Thank you, Dad." I was really grateful to my parents. They have done everything for me and during dinner, I made a decision. 'If Weavers will not help me then I am going to Dad. That's my last retort.'
