"I don't know why he's here!" I exclaimed for the second time, feeling my patience starting to wear thin. Derek kept questioning me as if he were my jealous boyfriend, and I could see the anger in his eyes.

He let out a low growl, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. It was a primal sound, like an animal warning its prey.

I had always noticed a certain quality that Lucian, Derek, and Nathan shared. They would sometimes make a strange sound - a low, rumbling growl that seemed to come from deep within their throats. It was unlike any sound I'd ever heard a human make, and it was unsettling in its animalistic quality. It was like they had a primal side that they could tap into, and it reminded me of a wolf baring its teeth.

"Stop that!" I said, looking at him in confusion.

“What?”.

"You know that growling thing you just did?" I asked, mimicking the sound he'd made. "It sounded like a wolf, or something animalistic."

He chuckled at my imitation,

"Maybe I'm a werewolf!" he said
