##Chapter 5
Wedding Night 2
Michelle's POV.
“Ahhhh!” My screams echoed in the house as I was pinned down. I thought it was over, feeling the person's pressure on my body and speed. I knew the person would be a professional assassin.
‘I haven't done anything yet in my life I don't want to die’ I thought, shivering. I knew Dell cannot take it that far by sending someone to kill me, but who could it be?
I was so scared until I heard his voice. “Michelle?”
'Lucian?’ I mulled in my head. Then it made sense why the attacker's body was cold. “Lucian Houston?” I called his full name just to be sure. I guessed the rumor about him was true. He was indeed an underground lord.
He released me from his grip, and stood up.
“What are you doing in the dark?” He said after he switched on the light, but I didn't reply to him.
He could understand after seeing the apple seeds on the floor. “I..I was…hungry…boo..hoo” my lips trembled, as tears welled from deep inside and coursed down my cheeks.
I didn't know why I was crying over a question, tears spilt over and flowed down my face like a river escaping a dam.
“I…..” I couldn't say my words as a solemn tear fell down my cheek; my body looked calm compared to how tangled my mind was. Moans escaped my lips through the suppressed sound of hiccups.
I wasn't crying because I was abandoned, but because of how miserable I was. Finding out about my cheating fiance and my bitch stepsister on the night before my wedding, and changing the groom to a well-known ruthless underground lord.
My life was a drama I couldn't bring myself to watch. I just wanted to leave everything and forget it, but I couldn't. I felt so wrong, and wouldn't back down without a fight.
“Stand up” he pulled me up with his two hands carefully. He pulled a chair out for me, motioning me to sit down.
“People will step on you easily if you cry so easily.”
He waited for me to wipe my tears, before talking. “Why are you still here?” He asked like I was invading his privacy.
He looked so relaxed in his bathrobe, his hair was still wet, and his skin looked so cool. I thought, ‘did he live here?’ but the house looks so empty including the kitchen.
I guessed he came inside when I was busy eating. I almost got distracted looking at the hunk standing in front of me, but I would not stupidly fall for another Houston.
“Like I want to be here, I was abandoned by you and your assistant” I said, almost crying.
“What? I ordered him to__” he was talking, but he paused when he realized something.
“I was so occupied, I didn't pass the order.”
“You should have called me, or someone else” he added nonchalantly, and that irked me.
“I was abandoned in this house without a cellphone or a guard. What if I really got attacked?”
I was done being emotional hearing him taking it lightly. “It's late, I will have him drop you off tomorrow” Lucian said, ignoring the rudeness in my voice.
He walked towards the refrigerator and picked a bottle of water. “It's a disaster” he shook his head, looking at the mess I created on the floor, before leaving the kitchen. I felt embarrassed a little bit.
But I ran after him immediately, trying to seize the opportunity to discuss our future plan. I need him to get back then. “We still have a lot of things to discuss, Mr Huston.”
He stopped all of sudden, making me step backwards. “We will discuss it tomorrow.”
“But__and aren't tired? You have been wearing it all day” I wanted to talk, he cut in, referring to my wedding gown.
I looked away from him, feeling embarrassed because that was the second time he would be complaining about my dress.
“You can rest in the first room, and don't come to my room unless you are facing a death issue” he said emphasizing on the ‘death’ word.
“Okay.”
“But can I borrow your phone, then? I need to call someone very important” I pleaded, and he glared at me before giving it to me.
I expected him to leave after giving me his phone, but he was rooted on the spot with his gaze fixed on me. 'What a petty man' I thought.
I dialed Bella's number, but she didn't pick it. I was sure she would be worried about me, so I kept trying.
“Enough, you can meet the person tomorrow.” He snatched his phone from my hand, and turned to leave.
“I need….. some clothes to change….into” I said slowly. “Follow me” he breathed heavily, looking at me like a burden.
He told me to stop in front of his room while he went inside. After some time, he came out holding a white shirt in his hand.
“This should be enough” he threw it at me, and turned around, but then halted his steps and looked at me before his lips parted to talk.
“How much do you hate him?” He asked out of blue. I arched my eyebrows in confusion hearing his words.
“Do you mean Dell?”
He nodded at me slightly. “That jerk made a fool out of me,” I said with my teeth gritted.
“Do you hate him enough to kill him? If yes, how do you want him dead?” His words echoed in the room leaving me speechless.
“K..kill?” I asked, trying to confirm my hearing.
I hated Dell, but I didn't want to get blood on my hand all in the name of revenge, but the look in Lucian's eyes says otherwise.
My enemy’s enemy? I guess….. I found an ally!
I knew his hatred for Dell was much greater than mine. 'Awesome!' I mulled in my head.

##Chapter 116Author's POVHappy Ending.“Honey? I'm home!” Lucian entered the bedroom, looking for his wife, but he heard no response. “Where's my wife?!” He went to the living room, summoning the maids.“We have no idea, sir,” they claimed. “What?! How could she leave the house right now, and none of you notice?!” He roared, running his finger through his hair as he dialed her number.“Hello, Darren!” He panicked as he dialed his friend's phone. “Hel—” Darren was saying, but he cut in. “Is Bella there?” He asked hurriedly. “Yes, why are you asking? What's the problem?” Darren asked worriedly.“My wife is missing! Call Harry and others. I will go look for her!” Lucian requested before ending the call and zoomed out of the mansion. And Darren, on the other end of the phone, panicked.“Jordan!” Darren called his bodyguard. “Yes, boss.” Jordan bowed slightly. “Protect my girlfriend, don't stay far away from her, and don't let her go anywhere till I get back.” He ordered, and Bella looked
##Chapter 115The KidnappedMichelle's POV.“What!” Bella yelled at me as I screamed. “I only called you here to reunite. What are you doing in my sacred home?!” I shouted at her. “Sacred? How rude!” She scoffed at me.Darren was quiet as he tried to avoid being noticed. He dressed properly and wanted to excuse us because of our nonstop argument. “Take me with you. This house is suffocating enough. Sacred mansion?” She hissed as she clung to her man.“Do you want to stay at my place then?” He asked, caressing her hair, and she nodded. “C'mon, let's go,” he said, and took off his coat for her to cover up. “Bye, Michelle!” They both waved at me as they left eagerly.“Those two are surely up to something bad!” I giggled seeing how they were so affectionate as they walked. “Lucian!” I called my husband's name as I ran towards the study room. Some months after,Lucian found out the truth behind his mother's death. Sandra {stepsister} was the real murderer, not Belinda {stepmother}. The old
##Chapter 114ReuniteBella's POVA few weeks later,Morning arrives like a gentle whisper, brushing the edges of dreams with golden fingertips. The sky, once cloaked in velvet night, blushes with the first hints of rose and amber, as if the sun is shy to rise but cannot resist. I lay lazily on the bed as I stared at the unfamiliar tall window frame. After Michelle picked me up from Darren's mansion, I stayed in their mansion and made sure I was invisible. I couldn't stop thinking of Darren despite being away from him. I want to see him. God, I ache to see him. Just to hear his voice, to feel that quiet calm he carries like a second skin. I'd give anything to press my face into his chest and let the world disappear for a while, but— I can't.Not because I don’t love him—because I do. Maybe that’s the worst part. Quite dangerous.I’m not what he needs right now. Maybe I never was. There’s a darkness in me I can’t explain, a storm that never quite passes. I’ve tried to keep it quiet, tr
##Chapter 113Lucian's POVRuined!I felt so bad in those moments; everything else faded away. The world shrinks to the space between us, the sound of her breath, and the scent of her skin. It's a raw, intimate connection, a reminder of the deep bond we share. I pull her close, and she buries her face in my chest. At that moment, all I wanted was to be her safe harbor, her comfort, her steady presence in the storm, but realizing I was the cause of her worries made me so sad.'She smiles so brightly that I barely noticed she was having such issues,' I mulled in my head as I patted her back. “You have nothing to worry about, Michelle. I will never do such a thing to you, you can rest assured. Your husband will never make you cry.” I kissed her neck, and she nodded.“Come here,” I carried her into my arms and walked towards the bed. I placed her down gently. “Babe,” I caressed her cheeks and stared into her eyes. “Huh?”“You are right about the investment, but it wasn't Darren's opinion.
##Chapter 112CheatingMichelle's POV“What's wrong? Why did he call sounding like that?” I panicked after hearing my friend's name. “What happened to Bella?” I asked Lucian, who was still trying to reach his friend.“I don't know either,” he mumbled worriedly. “Let's go to his place then; I think something bad is happening.” I said, trying to get dressed. “Calm down, Michelle; he would take care of it.” He said it with confidence even though he was worried.“No, Lucian, we should go check up on them.” “Michelle, it's raining!” he exclaimed, and I calmed down a little bit. He helped me sit down. “It's okay, I'm sure Darren will take proper care of whatever situation.” He reassured.“Why would Bella run away? Your friend is so unreliable.” I scoffed angrily. “Don't assume yet; Darren is responsible and won't do anything stupid.” Lucian defended him, which made me angry knowing that my friend wouldn't do anything unless it was reasonable.“Huh? Really? I'm sure your friend hurt her feel
##Chapter 111Breaking upBella's POV“Why did you walk inside the rain? What if you get sick?” He mumbled, drying my hair up. I didn't say a single word after going back to the mansion because I couldn't find the right word to use.I didn't want to leave him, but I didn't find him reliable. What if she later has her way in the future? What if he doesn't really love me? I couldn't stop thinking as he changed my clothes for me.I sighed heavily, thinking of what I did to Gina Adams earlier. I knew I shouldn't have done that, but I was just scared that he might give in.“Wear this; you can get changed when you go back to your room.” He mumbled, giving his shirts to change into. “Take care of yourself first; you are drenched. The stock price will be affected if you have a headache only; I don't want the whole country to come for me.”“Oh, that's caring coming from you,” he smiled, and he started taking off his clothes. “Go inside and do that,” I said, looking sideways. “This is where I ch
