I was outside of the pack house, ready to leave with both Misha and Tina, when we saw someone running towards us, yelling for us to wait.

“Is that the beta?” Tina was the first to notice.

I squinted, trying to see clearly, and recognized Carius running towards us. He was panting heavily by the time he reached us, stopping right in front of me.
